In an article about Connecticut's attempt to give illegals drivers licenses, I found a line in the second paragraph quoted below saying that Illinois's Gov. Quinn has signed a law that lets illegals buy guns in his state. Daniela Altimari of the Hartford Courant writes:
As many of as 54,000 illegal immigrants would qualify if the legislation is approved. Connecticut would be the third state to enact such a law - New Mexico, Washington state and, most recently Illinois, all offer some form of driver's licenses to illegal immigrants. Legislation is under consideration in several other states, including Massachusetts, Minnesota and California.
The Illinois law, signed by Gov. Pat Quinn earlier this year, provides illegal immigrants with the opportunity to obtain a special, three-year temporary license that cannot be used for identification to board an airplane or purchase a gun.

No reason for illegals to buy guns. Holder will just hand them one when they cross the border. the good fella’s known for that:/

Do you really want to debate the nuances between the definitions of the words “Can” and “Cannot?”
That is really picky and assault on a hard working journalist who just so happens to not know the slight difference between “Can” and “Cannot.”

Since its Illinois probably ONLY illegals allowed to own guns.
The left deliberately and intentionally allows criminals to keep their illegal guns and seeks to take guns away from non-violent honest law-abiding citizens.
In IL we need a thing called a FOID Card (Photo ID) which is issued by the Illinois State Police. And the ISP doesn't just hand them out. You need to fill out an application with a photo and then the ISP does a thorough Criminal Background Check. Legal Permanent Resident Aliens can apply and obtain a FOID Card but then you have to submit a whole bunch of any Federal Immigration Documents.
There's no way in Hades an Illegal, a Dreamer, or anyone - a citizen - whoever got busted for almost anything in Ten Years will get a FOID Card, they're not 'shall issue'. Plus in IL you even need a FOID Card for a legal Private Sale, and in most stores like a Sport Store or Walmart, you can't even touch Ammo without first showing your FOID Card to the clerk. And in Gun Stores you ain't getting anywhere near a gun without that card.
So NO. Illegals in IL will not be able to legally buy a gun just because they have some *illegal special* Drivers License.
