I got a note from Human Events that they are not going to publish anymore. Another one bites the dust!
Nothing you can do but starve them out. They're like rats on a ship or ants on an ice cream cone.
They're just along for the ride.
End the ride, end the media domination.
Media bias got O-Ego elected and then re-elected. I detest MSM media and everything it presently stands for (namely the democrat party and socialist agenda). Tuning in to them (for either news or TV shows) would be equivalent to watching liberal/progressive propaganda 24/7.
I care.
TV and major news websites are poisoning minds against us.
One issue raised by this article is the absence of deep-pocket conservatives from the media fight. Unfortunately, deep-pocketed conservatives are also engaged in capitalistic enterprises that use political correctness to sell their products in a way that dramtically encourages the continuation of the leftist message. Advertising messages are generally leftist in their presentation, content and context..ie. stupid dads, smat-ass kids, feminist wives, weak clergermen etc. Until the wealthy right begins to understand the context of the messages they use to sell their products, their contiributions to a successful confrontation with the leftist media is pretty much doomed.
Lefties reduce everything to money but place no value on ehthics, morality, patriotism or adherance to the constitution and the law of the land.
Are we talking (alleged) conservatives in Washington (there are almost none!), or are we talking conservatives in flyover country?
If we are talking the former, the answer is less than none. If we re talking the latter, there is a LOT of concern but, given that 95+% of the media is so liberally biased we either don't trust anything they say, or we outright ignore them because we know they are lying, anyway.
'Zat answer the question?
"There's absolutely no pretense from any of these publications of giving a policy a sort of objective hearing, Daniel McCarthy, editor of The American Conservative, told The Huffington Post. "It's very clear that it comes from the same mindset as talk radio and Fox News. This is something that's by and for a particular kind of conservative.". . . whereas in wire service journalism there is exactly that - a pretense of giving a policy an objective hearing.
There is precisely zero difference between what a journalist means by objectivity and what an ancient Greek Sophist meant by wisdom. The Sophists gave their name to
- sophistry
- the use of fallacious arguments, esp. with the intention of deceiving.
Just so, wire service journalists - those working for the AP, and those working for members of the AP - are all engaged in sophistry. And they are unified - question the objectivity of one, and all take umbrage.
I can conceive of taking on the AP in court - precisely on the grounds that it unifies and homogenizes journalism into a single leftist slant - but taking them on in a propaganda war is a daunting task indeed. George Zimmerman has a very strong case against CNBC, and he is suing. He should sue the AP simultaneously, because otherwise any individual journalism outlet will appeal to precedents in the coverage of other, nominally independent, outlets. Zimmerman should sue the AP and all of its membership at one time, or he is likely to find himself engaged in a fruitless game of whack-a-mole.
