Democratic Party Chairman John Walsh said Sullivan is out of touch with Massachusetts, which became the first state to legalize gay marriage in 2004. “One issue people in Massachusetts have decided is equal marriage rights for our gay and lesbian neighbors,”

We citizens of Ma. decided we support gay “marriage”????

Gee! I must have missed THAT one being on the ballot!
Oh,wait.....

....Massachusetts lawmakers Thursday prevented a citizen-backed petition banning gay marriage from appearing on the 2008 ballot, voting 151-45 to defeat the proposed constitutional amendment.

Considering that the Massachusetts Congressional Delegation looks like The Village People, and that they are *ALL* pro-abort, pro-gay, pro-tax, anti-family DemonRATS, that’s probably an accurate observation.

People in Massachusetts DID NOT decide on gay marriage! The Mass Legislature blocked and delayed it until it was not allowed to go on the ballot. This went against the Massachusetts constitution which allows citizens to sign petitions to place legislation on the ballot. We were NEVER allowed to vote on the matter.

The issue then went to a liberal Mass Supreme court which denied the people the right to vote. Mitt Romney chickened out as the law was never actually passed.
