State police detectives returned to Manchester Community College on Thursday to interview students as part of their investigation into Wednesday's report of an armed man at the school.
The school was locked down for hours Wednesday afternoon after a student reported seeing a man with a gun in a hallway.

I would laugh....but the present state of affairs in Connecticut has me grumbling.
IIRC, most police departments only train about two times a year, averaging less than 15 hours annually. Heh.
FWIW, I was going to go to Bogner’s yesterday...good thing b/c they probably had Wetherell St closed off.
About eight years ago there was a state wide student function at the state Capitol in Hartford. Lots of middle school kids from all over the state were visiting when suddenly the Capitol police, the Hartford police and the state police began herding them all into safe areas in the building; a teacher chaperone reported seeing a man with a machine gun on the Capitol grounds.
Six hours later it was determined that the man with the “machine gun” was a videographer with the local CBS affiliate using a long-focus telephoto lens on a tripod mounted camera.
