State Sen. Tom Lee, the new county Republican Party chairman, says the local party is moving its meeting site to make it more geographically inclusive of Tampa, northwest Hillsborough and university area Republicans.

Lee said the new site, the Museum of Science and Industry, may also send more of a “big-tent message” than the previous meeting site in an evangelical church, The River of Tampa Bay in Mango.

Actually, the MOSI sight is poetic justice and quite appropriate for this bunch of RINO's hell bent on distancing themselves from whatever number of conservatives remain in Hillsborough County. MOSI is the very same "museum" which hosted the "Dead Bodies" exhibit back in 2005 amid much local furor. Now all Tom Lee needs to do is invite Jeb Bush and John McCain to speak there, and the comparison will be complete.

More inclusive? The Florida GOP already has plenty of liberals already. Why invite more?

They just want fewer rural, suburban conservatives and more city RINOs in attendance.

I think that was in 2008, and I took my son to it. I live 2 miles from MOSI so this is awesome for me.

They have a nice big meeting area which will be more appropriate. They used to meet at a place which was very cramped, making it difficult to get around.
