It’s like the horse meat controversy ... who cares, fur is fur and meat is meat. Just because they are considered pets in some countries doesn’t mean they should be excluded from other uses. How many of us have pet fish and yet we eat fish ...

Of course false advertising is another thing.

I would tend to agree, but have grave reservations when I see claims of "skinned alive".

What you do with an animal after you humanely kill it is one thing. To torture an animal like the Chinese apparently do with dogs (dunking them in boiling water to skin them) before eating, or taking the fur while still alive is just evil.

Big difference between dogs and fish. Fish can’t even recognize you; dogs give unconditional love. Not as big, but there’s a big difference between cattle and horses, too.
