Why Florida Persists in the Zimmerman Prosecution
American Thinker ^ | March 11, 2013 | Jack Cashill

Posted on 03/11/2013 2:02:40 AM PDT by sheikdetailfeather

Prodded by a president with a weakness for racial agitation and enabled by a politically complicit media, the State of Florida persists in a prosecution that can come to no good end.

The defendant is neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman. The charge is the second-degree murder. The potential outcomes range from major injustice, if Zimmerman is convicted, to mayhem in the streets, if he's acquitted. And the state plods on as though the angels were on its side. They are not.

The witnesses to the February 2012 shooting of 17 year-old Trayvon Martin are proving even more troublesome than the angels. The state's case took a hit last week when Witness #8, Martin's alleged 16-year-old sweetheart "Dee Dee," was caught in falsehoods so flagrant that even the Trayvon-friendly Orlando Sentinel noticed them. Conceded the headline, "Lawyer: State's main witness in George Zimmerman murder case lied."

On January 15, 2008, Nifong filed for bankruptcy under Chapter 7 of the Bankruptcy Code.[89] He listed assets of almost $244,000 and liabilities of over $180.3 million, the bulk of which being six $30 million "unsecured nonpriority claims," one for each of the six members of the 2005–2006 Duke Lacrosse team suing Nifong, among others.

Florida prosecutors should be worried.

It’ll be hard to imagine any jury being able to come to an agreement on this. I could see two mis-trials easily.

“If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon,” President Barack Obama said on March 23 of that year. In so saying, Obama gave the White House imprimatur to a politically irresistible campaign, one that both stoked the grievances of his racially sensitive base and energized his party’s gun control advocates. That the shooting took place in Florida, the most highly contested state in that year’s presidential election, made its politicization all the more inevitable.

It would take the media nearly two weeks to learn that their great white defendant was Hispanic and a registered Democrat at that, but by that time the train had long since left the station, and the railroading had irreversibly begun. Zimmerman would have to do.

To this President and the Democrats in general, the facts don’t matter at all only the perception of the facts that they generate does. This applies it appears to EVERYTHING that they say and do. It’s no wonder that for thinking, rational people that Liberalism and its adherents appear to be afflicted with a mental disorder that appears to be untreatable.

And because of that mental disorder the sanest, safest thing to do is to stay as far away from them as a person can. That mental disorder appears to be very contagious, as can be seen by what happens to conservative politicians once they get to D.C.

Obama’s obsession plus fear of race riots. Simple.

Good writer. I see a whole bunch of articles on his site that are candidates for reposting here.

The democrat media will insure race riots because they refuse to inform the public of what a thug the dead perp was. Several 0bmama sons will likely harm innocent whites and a few will get their just rewards.

Race riots are a possibility when George Zimmerman is ruled Not guilty./
Course this being Forida, we do have that pesky stand your ground law.
And thanks to obammy, many more folks have guns and are ready to defend themselves.

Was Trayvon on the phone at the time Dee Dee says he was or not? The phone records exist. That alone should blow her story out of the water.

While saying much, the first sentence fails when it simply calls the Bamster’s central Commie tenet “a weakness” on racial agitation. I know Cashill was trying to turn a phrase but failing to challenge the reader into clear thinking does not serve him in building the larger thesis, IMO. Cashill’s previous writings have shown him to have some level of awareness of the facts in The One’s Commie roots so I don’t understand his shyness in so stating.

The second part of the first sentence on is right on the mark and the article does an excellent job of supporting that. The level of media complicity and the prosecution’s inability to recognize either facts or perjury is just jaw-dropping.

After being found not guilty, Zimmerman will have to change his name and appearance and move to an undisclosed location.

The narrative at the link is much more fleshed out....containing details I never heard before, no doubt omitted purposefully by the media.

In an otherwise outstanding article, the author did leave out one important fact....George Zimmerman is 1/4 black.

The article was interesting. I can’t say it’s good. They dangle the Dee Dee will never appear in court storyline and never tell me why. That seemed like a central point in the story and i would have liked top have read more on that.

Jack Cashill does an excellent job of summarizing where the case is at this point and how it got here.

The inability of the Martin family, their lawyers, their pr team, the Florida governor and attorney general, the prosecution, NBC, CBS, CNN, ABC, the Miami Whoreworld, the Whorelando Slantinel, and the low information black grievance industry to all admit that they were wrong has resulted in many of them doubling down on their stupidity.

“The democrat media will insure race riots because they refuse to inform the public of what a thug the dead perp was.”

I guess they’re welcome to try to incite, but they will not be dealing with people like the Jews in New York City that think peace signs and white doves will keep the bad people away - no, they’ll be dealing with REAL HARDWARE and people ready to use it - along with a set of laws that virtually allow that use without risk (when justified, of course).

So, yes, they may try a small test riot (at most), but I think they’ll get the message very quickly and figure out that it’s not so easy in Florida...

And that ALWAYS been one of our major reasons to oppose gun control.

It’s nice to read a writer who is objectively using the last names (e.g., “Zimmerman was...”, “Martin was...”) of both involved parties instead of the liberal media’s slanted approach of using Zimmerman’s last name but Trayvon Martin’s first name. The little things matter.
