Talk show host Vicki McKenna says proposed rules on bullets would essentially ban deer hunting

In the months following the Sandy Hook school massacre, Wisconsin Democrats moved to restrict access to firearms and ammunition.

Those efforts included the drafting of a bill in the state Assembly by Reps. Frederick Kessler, Evan Goyke and Mandela Barnes, all Milwaukee Democrats.

Among other things, the bill would restrict sales and possession of hollow-point bullets, a type of ammunition that expands on impact and creates even larger wounds. Authorities said Adam Lanza, the Sandy Hook killer, used bullets designed to inflict maximum damage by breaking up in a victim’s body. Kessler argued banning such bullets would give the victims of a mass shooting at least a chance of survival.

But that bill would have a far greater impact, said conservative talk show host Vicki McKenna on Feb. 18, 2013.

It would end deer hunting, a key part of the state’s culture, said McKenna, whose show is aired in Milwaukee, Madison and LaCrosse.

It has nothing to do with crime. It has and always will be about disarming the American people.

Maybe it’s not unthinking ignorance; maybe it’s malignant evil.

Ignorant people passing stupid laws. You can expect them to get upset about FMJ rounds next, they will be "armor piercing".

The idiots simply can't grasp the technology they are trying to regulate.

I think it is “Goldilocks gun control”. That gun is too small, that gun is too big, those bullet expand too much, those do not expand at all...

None of them are “just right”.

Nicely put, their goal is to ban private ownership of firearms. EVERYTHING they do is a step in that direction.

They'll probably be coming for these "weapons of mass destruction" next.

The feigned ignorance is a ruse. They want to “accidentally” ban each and every bullet and weapon, one at a time.

Any person who has any respect for individual rights who ever votes for a Democrat (or anti-gun Republican) should have his head examined.

I don’t use or need hollow points for deer hunting (unless soft point counts) but, I DO for self defense.

This bill prohibits a person, with certain exceptions such as
for law enforcement, from selling, transporting, manufacturing, or possessing any hollow point bullet, any bullet that expands or flattens easily in the human body, or any bullet with a hard envelope that does not entirely cover the core of the bullet.

You are so right. People are not stupid. They have their own agenda and progressing on it step by step.

It looks moronic to us but we are measuring them by our standards. Measuring by their standards, they are hero’s and geniuses.

The quote about never attributing to malice that which can be explained by incompetence
is incomplete.

The rest of it is “but never rule out malice”.

Yeah, that’ll go over well with the hunters in the northern counties.

These dems are overreaching. Give ‘em just enough rope.

I keep burning with the question of “WHY! WHY is no one calling them on exactly what they want to do?”

Why is no one saying “You’re not fooling anyone, you want to disarm the citizenry, AND FOR WHAT PURPOSE?”
