I suppose this means that they’ll have to staff airports with preferred gender TSA agents.

Exactly. Once the APA removed homosexuality from the DSM based on emotional/political reasons and not on any new scientific evidence it was inevitable that other mental illnesses would follow.
Instead of indulging people suffering from these disorders we should be treating them.

You and I probably can’t find one person who thinks the policy in question is sane. Same goes for a number of other policies foisted on the American people by some troublemaker in government.

Only last year, they “de-sexed” the parent fields for children applying for a passport. So, this is not surprising.
The next conservative president, if we ever get one, will have a lot of undoing to do.
