This is more from America hating Obama punishing conservatives who are the majority audience for patriotic military air shows and flight demonstrations.

Obama pulling these military flight teams though will hurt the big Democrat cities such as Chicago which will now lose money on the planned annual summer airshows which will face cancellation.

Honestly? I can't understand why we haven't cut all of the excess frills from the defense budget a long time ago. The Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds and the Silent Drill Team/Drum and Bugle Corps for the Marines and other like organizations are wastes of scarce resources. We should be focused on combat readiness, not wowing the tourists. I'd even pull the "Marine Band" and the ceremonial guards from the White House. 1. The band members aren't really Marines and 2. the guards need to be with the combat arms, not holding doors open for their "betters". In the real world those pinheads should be holding the doors open for the Marines - who have volunteered to risk their young lives.

They are supposed to be a "recruiting" tool but they have morphed into a circus with gay overtones (look at the "drill" with matching jumpsuits executed by the flightcrews before they board their aircraft).

The sooner our Defense Department gets serious about preparing our forces for fighting, the better.

Anything representative of American greatness or traditional values is on the top of Obama’s “Things I Hate” list.

Obama doesn’t want to be President so he can lead America - He wants to be President so he and Michelle can loot America.

No money to conduct White House tours for everyday Ameericans but hundreds of millions for Obama’s Islamic Brotherhood pals.

No money for National Parks but millions and millions for Michelles monthly vacations.

Obama says no money for the Blue Angels but okays hundreds of millions of dollars worth of F-16’s and M1 tanks for his muslim dictator pals in Egypt.

And the idiots who voted Obama into the presidency are still out there, voting and reproducing another generation of idiots.

I’m from Seattle. The main event of the hydro races every August is the Blue Angels.

This is going to leave a mark.

They are highly effective marketing tools.

Maybe patriotic Canadians can help us.

The Snowbirds Demonstration Team (431 Squadron) is a Canadian icon comprised of serving members of the Canadian Forces. Their pilots and technicians work as a team to bring thrilling performances to the North American public. Serving as Canadian ambassadors, the Snowbirds demonstrate the high level of professionalism, teamwork, excellence, discipline and dedication inherent in the women and men of the Royal Canadian Air Force and the Canadian Forces.

Yes, these are a great military recruitment program.

Chapter 7 Use of Military Assets for Public Affairs

7-1. Musical, aerial, ceremonial, and troop units— general.

a. Army commanders at all levels are encouraged to provide Army marching units, bands, color guards, drill teams, ceremonial units, other personnel formations or units, aerial demonstrations, static displays, exhibits and similar support for functions conducted in the public domain. The Thunderbirds, based at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada, announced recently that its performances would stop April 1. The team is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year and had more than 60 demonstrations planned at 38 locations between March and November. The team still plans to perform at an air show in Titusville, Fla., in late March, officials said.

Just viisted Pensacola a few months ago with the wife and visited Pensacola Naval Air Station to see the air museum and watch a Blue Angel practice.
About 5,000 fellow patriots were there to witness one fine display.
This “magic negro” really is garbage.

I think that DOD could spare a few dollars from their study of fish socialization to continue to fund military patriotic recruitment programs such as aerial demonstrations.

Oklahoma Senator Tom Coburn was calling out the Department of Defense on wasteful spending ahead of tough cuts that could come as part of the fiscal cliff deal reached last month.

Senator Coburn says some programs need to get the ax before thousands of people who work at Oklahoma’s military bases lose their paychecks. On Wednesday, he sent out this list of projects he thinks the DOD should eliminate.

I have a question. We have a $3.5T dollar budget. The pro rated sequester equals about $42B dollars. That $42B cut is shutting down carrier group deployments, WH tours, tax refunds, Blue Angel flights, causing the loss of 750,000 jobs mostly teachers, firemen and policemen, cutting medical services and meals to seniors and shutting down head start programs and that is just for starters. So here’s the question. If $42B dollars is paying for all of this then what is the other $3.458B buying us?

Where is our new TVA, interstate highway system, space program, etc.?

Rampant Wasteful Spending in Pentagon Budget

By Julie Borowski on November 29, 2012

Some lawmakers claim that we cannot afford to cut a dime of Pentagon spending. That is simply untrue. Like every federal government department, the Department of Defense is susceptible to wasteful spending and pet projects. Perhaps more so because many lawmakers do not seriously scrutinize the Pentagon budget for fear of being perceived as “weak on defense.”

But the reality is that a large chunk of the DOD budget has nothing to do with defending this country. Since the number one national security threat is our $16 trillion national debt, we must be willing to cut spending in all areas of government. We all want a safe and stable country which means that we cannot afford to spend taxpayer money on unnecessary projects that have nothing to do with protecting our national security. There are tons of duplicative programs, unnecessary weapons that Pentagon officials do not even want, funding for bizarre studies, and more ridiculous spending in the Pentagon budget.

Senator Tom Coburn of Oklahoma has created a booklet called the “Department of Everything” to highlight wasteful spending in the Pentagon budget. Here are some examples of ludicrous spending from his report that should outrage every taxpayer.
