I rescue city strays. Now I have to pay more for the gift of life I give them? It will probably not stop my rescue but halt my spay, neuter and inoculations.

Work with a local no-kill rescue in regards to the vet medical expensives.

Our brilliant legislators here in blue Oregon passed a law essentially requiring an annual check-up for dogs & cats. Your vet cannot treat an animal brought in for an emergency if they didn’t have that check-up. I wonder how many pets were ‘disposed of’ when their owners realized they’d have that expense every year.
