The alleged gang rape of an 11-year-old girl by at least 18 boys and young men has sparked shame and outrage in a tiny Texas town, but it has also stirred racial tensions that threaten to split the East Texas hamlet.
All of the defendants arrested are African-American and the girl is Hispanic.

Even though this apparently involves only blacks and one Hispanic girl, I would be willing to bet in the end, whites will end up getting blamed for it.
Have jesse jacksome and his friends complained that they didn’t arrest any white people for this crime?
A staggering total of 20 young men were accused in the case – the Houston Chronicle now reports that “seven juveniles received probated sentences; six adults received 15-year sentences in exchange for guilty pleas and agreeing to testify against their peers; and five are awaiting trial.”
Statement from a defense lawyer: In his closing remarks, Taylor capped off his truly spectacular assault on both logic and humanity by saying, “People don’t come with signs telling their age. How does a young man know? You can’t cut off their legs and count the rings like a tree.”
To add insult to injury, after these cases were decided, the young girl ran away from where Child Protective Services put her, and she was raped again, by a 30 year old man.
Evidently 7 rounds would not have been enough. We’ll see what Cuomo has to say.

I guess there is nothing wrong with being a 68 year-old GREAT GRANDMOTHER. Pretty significant compression of the fambly tree. Bet she is a GREAT GREAT GREAT Grandmother before she passes. After all she probably has at least another 20 years. Only takes two more generations and that should be easy.
Dickerson, 68, is the great-grandmother of one of the defendants in the case. Her grandson has not been publicly identified by police because he is a minor.
Dickerson remembers when her great-grandson called to tell her the crime he’s accused of committing.
“When I got on the phone, he was crying. He said, ‘Granny, I’ve been accused of something. I’m scared,’” Dickerson said. “He’s pretty tore up about it.”
“I’m not going to play the race card on this because my grandson and all the rest were very young men and they could have given a second thought on this,” Dickerson said.”
Cleveland is just a pretty trashy town in general. This crime just confirms it.

That story is from two years ago. There’s plenty of more recent vintage.
