There are certain people on the right who do very much want to turn the country into a Christian theocracy. They are as much statists as the liberals trying to outlaw candy bars in schools.

I am libertarian along with a lot of other conservatives and, unfortunately, liberals. When it comes to making a decision between candidates I look for one with conservative values and a vision of limited government. It’s not hard to support one that wants to simply limit government (e.g. Cain, Paul) without getting wrapped up in philosophical arguments.

A few, of course. But not so many that only nervous nellie liberals and the SPLC should be worried about.

If, as a conservative, you believe that Christian theocracy is an issue -- then you're worried about the wrong end of the Republican spectrum.
