I am blaming everyone. There was time, way back around 1960, that most young women knew better than to put themselves in situations where unscrupulous men could take advantage of them. We are living in last days of the Elois, as the Morlocks begin to assert their domination.

Don’t think so. Compared to pre-Prohibtion, we’re nearly teetotalers. Compared to the early 19th century, we’re stone cold sober.
Personally, I think the prohibition kids drinking alcohol until 21 is responsible. Kids should be introduced to wine and beer at an early age, allowed to say “yuck” and taught that its no big deal.
