S.E. Cupp, CPAC, and Homosexuals
American Thinker ^ | March 18, 2013 | J. Richard Pearcey

Author and MSNBC host S.E. Cupp made news in the run-up to CPAC 2013 by withdrawing as a speaker from the annual conservative confab. Her complaint against CPAC is that it would not allow pro-homosexual "marriage" organizations to sponsor the event.

Cupp identifies herself as a "proponent of gay rights," and on MSBNC she said "marriage equality" is a "major issue Republicans can no longer seem to avoid."

"CPAC's decision to sideline GOProud and Log Cabin Republicans makes me increasingly uncomfortable,"she said."Until the conference stops shaming some of its most valuable advocates, it's unfortunately not an event I can take part in."

--snip--

Masha Gessen, a lesbian and a journalist, spoke frankly about this at a conference in Sydney, Australia, last summer. "It's a no-brainer that we should have the right to marry," she said. "But I also think equally that it's a no-brainer that the institution of marriage should not exist."

This admission "causes my brain some trouble," Gessen says, "and part of why it causes me trouble is that fighting for gay marriage generally involves lying about what we are going to do with marriage when we get there -- because we lie that the institution of marriage is not going to change, and that is a lie."

How will it change? Gessen explains: "I have three kids who have five parents, more or less. . . . I would like to live in a legal system that is capable of reflecting that reality. And I don't think that's compatible with the institution of marriage."

"Marriage equality" becomes "marriage elasticity," with the ultimate goal of "marriage extinction."...

A firefighter in Massachusetts was fired from his job just because he signed his name to the petition to put gay marriage on the ballot. Why should be be *tolerant* to gays when they are not tolerant to us?

So first step they want to redefine marriage and then step two, they want to take it away from us totally. What lovely *tolerant* people.

so those who shout tolerance are the most intolerant, no surprise there then.

It was to get rid of the sodomy laws then it was their private business, then to have civil unions then marriage, then adoption, then charge those who oppose them as hate laws and the final one is to reduce the age law so they can have sex wiht litle boys and still we get idiots on our side saying they support each other their steps and not see the bigger picture.

Hell why we let these libertarians in who are more in tune wiht liberals, actually liberals don;t go as fare as those nuts so maybe that is why they want to infiltrate our party and then want us ot change our views and platform.

Like Paul said, this is the new republican party , sort of reminds me of when obama said change and the dopes said great we love change but never understood the word

That’s also why we left our ELCA church.

Hi Sarge, I went to our past church and tried to get signatures for the marriage amendment a few years ago and had some really dopey comments, some were thinking I was after their life pensions or one old woman told me she had no problem about it..

The worst of it is was I asked the rev and he said he agreed bit won;t mention anything about marriage in case he gets in trouble.

It;s his church, why can;t he mention marriage as what is in the Holy Bible.

You did it wrong.

You raise such a stink the SIN lovers get thrown out!!

1 Corinthians 5:12-13

What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? 13 God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked person from among you.”

Nothing here about running off and leaving the flagrant sinner behind to thoroughly ruin the rest of the congregation!

No; it is NOT!!

It's CHRIST's church and by remaining silent you are letting this corruption spread!

Get RID of that 'pastor'!!

Ezekiel 34:1-6

1 The word of the Lord came to me:

2 “Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel; prophesy, and say to them, even to the shepherds, Thus says the Lord God: Ah, shepherds of Israel who have been feeding yourselves! Should not shepherds feed the sheep? 3 You eat the fat, you clothe yourselves with the wool, you slaughter the fat ones, but you do not feed the sheep. 4 The weak you have not strengthened, the sick you have not healed, the injured you have not bound up, the strayed you have not brought back, the lost you have not sought, and with force and harshness you have ruled them. 5 So they were scattered, because there was no shepherd, and they became food for all the wild beasts. 6 My sheep were scattered; they wandered over all the mountains and on every high hill. My sheep were scattered over all the face of the earth, with none to search or seek for them.

Strengthening Christ’s Church: The Message of 1 Corinthians

Paul's first letter to the Corinthians was directed to a deeply troubled church in the midst of a very challenging world. The problem was that the church was contaminated by society's sins and confused in its thinking.

If this sounds hauntingly familiar it is because it hits perilously close to home. Today's church finds herself in a frighteningly secular world, one in which paganism is aggressive and militant. Opportunities are great but the church often seems to be as contaminated and confused as the church at Corinth.

Paul's letter is a clarion call to the Christians in Corinth and to Christians today to come away from contamination and confusion to function as salt and light.

Onward  -  Christian Soldiers!!!

you have just raised a brilliant point and thank you for that.
You are correct as for getting rid of that pastor, I think he has left as he was on his last legs.

If these Pastors etc did talk about marriage instead of tring to be this crap of inclusive then we would not be infiltrated but then again our party has been and still has

It came down from the top—the Bishop. We attended church meetings and voiced our objections, but it was a done deal. Even if our church at the time would not have followed he church doctrine, yet stayed in the ELCA, who you assoicate with is how you are perceived. We would not be associated with the ELCA any more.

Exactly. So the Rev was more concerned about himself than his beliefs.

So?

Voiced.

Big deal!

Do you NOT know the tactic employed??

"Let them 'speak' all they want. It gives them a FEELING of participating, and they'll FEEL like they gave it a try, but were out voted."

No; you were out smarted.

I'm sorry I sound so militant and accusing; but when are WE going to do something?

I did the same thing; only not at church.

I left the inner city, rather than stay and fight what I saw happening all around me.

I am now safely out in the boonies - away from the fighting and the whores and the drunks and the thugs and the trash and the don't give a $4its!

(The very ones that Jesus came to save!)

I could not do anything. But if I'd joined with others to make a WE, then perhaps WE could have.

Divide and conquer still works, and SATAN is using it all the time.

It's fairly big news when a church or a denomination splits; but not so much when one or two or a family 'leaves' for one reason or another.

So slowly (like the frog in the pot) our goose is cooked.

(The mixed metaphor police will get me now!)

Despite her philosophical flaws, I think I know why Cupp is so popular.
