The young man in the photo is the 11-yr-old son of Shawn Moore. The gun is a .22 rifle, a copy of the AR-15, but a 22 caliber. The photo was posted on Facebook by a proud father. That Facebook posting apparently triggered an anonymous call to New Jersey’s Department of Youth and Family Services (DYFS). On Friday night, March 15th, two representatives from the state’s social services office (along with four local police officers) came to the Moore home and demanded to see the family’s firearms.
According to Moore’s lawyer, Evan Nappen (an attorney with considerable expertise in NJ’s very strict gun laws), the situation was “outrageous.”

Someone’s about to get paid a settlement and the others are about to get pie in their face and suspended or fired so not all was in vain...: )
This is what is comin’ down the pike for us. We need to think about how we’ll handle a similar scenario.

These places like DYS are populated entirely by liberals, usually not just the bleeding heart kind, but the radicals. A real conservative couldn’t do that job.
Under every socialist regime, neighbor was turned against neighbor.
Nobody knew who they could trust or who would try to curry favor with the ruling elite by turning-in a family member.
Sometimes, the reward was a better job, house or car. Other times, the reward was some extra food.
There is no settlement. No pie in face, no suspension or firing. Actually, the officers involved will be commended and accommodated, for forward thinking coummunity service. And, then move on, to a real travesty of tragedy. Rinse and repeat.

Go to Fort Knox and pose your 5 yr old in front of a Tank while visiting the Patton Museum and post it on Facebook and title it - “just bought a working and fully functional battle tank’...and see who shows up!
Or better yet - wait until they have the Knob Creek gun shot out next month - and pose with a fully automatic machine gun!

Politely ask, "May I see your search warrant?", followed by "What am I being charged with?", followed by "Please give me your badge numbers so that my lawyer can sue you into oblivion and so you can be charged with using your government position to violate my civil rights."
worse yet if someone posts on the Internet that you threatened to buy a 42 oz big gulp then they'll come and get you.
