One of the limousines in Barack Obama's fleet has broken after reports that it was mistakenly filled with the wrong fuel at the start of the US president's visit to Israel. Another limo is on its way from Jordan, according to Ma'an News agency, citing Israel's Channel 10, to replace one that was filled with diesel instead of gasolene.

I accidentally filled my Saab 99 with diesel back in the very early 80’s. The proprieter had a garden hose and we just used it to siphon off the tank into the storm drain on the street.

BTW, refilled with gas and it started right up and I drove off.
Was chatting with a Fedex driver just the other day who did the opposite - he said he put gasoline in a diesel truck. I would have thought that the size of the nozzles versus the size of the car intakes were such that you couldn’t do this sort of thing but obviously you can.
All I can say is that it’s a stunning level of incompetence. If they fail at something like this - what else are they likely to fail at?

From what I understand, the “Beast” is diesel powered.
Maybe they filled up with gasoline instead of diesel. Not to worry, taxpayers can easily afford a new engine.

I worked on the powertrain for these (don’t ask me any more) and they DEFINITELY were diesels.

I’ll bet these Cadillacs are gasoline powered.
Since I doubt the Secret Service would allow anybody but the SS detail to touch the vehicle, then it likely was an SS person who screwed up.
This suggests that Obama and company are using criteria other than "competence" to select who goes on the presidential detail.
