DHS questioned over decision to let Saudi passengers skip normal passport controls

A Department of Homeland Security program intended to give "trusted traveler" status to low-risk airline passengers soon will be extended to Saudi travelers, opening the program to criticism for accommodating the country that produced 15 of the 19 hijackers behind the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Sources voiced concern about the decision to the Investigative Project on Terrorism, which issued a report Wednesday on the under-the-radar announcement -- which was first made by Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano after meeting in January with her Saudi counterpart. According to the IPT, this would be the first time the Saudi government has been given such a direct role in fast-tracking people for entry into the United States.

The question is are they really that dumb or are they truly conditioning people for random searches?

The answer to this is that they aren't dumb. Evil yes, but not dumb.

IMO, we need more chemical based detection systems rather than visual searches of everything. Bomb sniffing dogs/machines to check everything entering a plane would keep us more safe than what we have now. The deck should also be completely isolated the entire time. Pilots should have their own toilet and a small door for food. Stopping all the groping and doing these two things would eliminate 99.99% of threats.

Agreed. Allowing the  flight crew to arm themselves would also actually enhance security, much more than is being done today, and would cost nothing. The problem with that approach is that it doesn't expand government power or authority, so it was never considered. Everything that has been done has been a federal power grab used to condition the sheep-like majority of the population.

Brennan in Middle of Saudi-9/11 Cover-up and the Missing 28 Pages
February 8, 2013 • 9:48AM

Two years ago, Sen. Bob Graham, who has tirelessly been fighting against the suppression of information on the Saudi role in the 9/11 terrorist attacks, put John Brennan in the middle of the ongoing cover-up by the Obama White House. On Sept. 12, 2011, Graham was interviewed by host Dylan Ratigan on MSNBC, concerning the Saudi-supported “support network” for the 9/ll hijackers, which extended from San Diego, California, to Sarasota, Florida, with other centers in New Jersey, Virginia, and Arizona. Graham described his efforts to obtain release of the suppressed 28 pages from the Congressional 9/11 report concerning the Saudi role, and Graham said that he had talked to the White House and to Obama’s counter-terrorism advisor, John Brennan, asking him to get the 28 pages released. To this day, Brennan, who has documented close connections to the Saudis, has failed to do so.

The next day, Ratigan published a column, stating: “For ten years, the U.S. government has kept secret the Saudi connection to the 9/11 hijackers.... This isn’t my claim. It’s what former Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Bob Graham asserted yesterday on my show. Yesterday, he discussed his outrage over the government’s secretive behavior, with journalist Anthony Summers, whose book on 9/11 blew the lid off some creepy aspects of the attacks that President Bush, and now President Obama and his terrorism advisor John Brennan, are keeping secret.”

Graham served for ten years on the Senate Intelligence Committee, and chaired it during and after the 9/11 attacks. He also chaired the bi-partisan Joint Congressional Inquiry into the 9/11 attacks.

.. Oh, lovely. For the past 12 years millions of Americans stood in line for hours, were subjected to indignities, got things like nail clippers and scissors and shampoo and mouthwash confiscated, and then we had to repack our carry-on bags.

Because we were told that it makes us more safe.

And now the next batch of kamikaze hijackers just strolls on board the jumbo jet, no questions asked.

Makes a person wonder who the 1.6 BILLION bullets are really for...

What also sucks, is when you fly into the US, we American citizens have to share the same Immigration & Customs lines with all those wannabees with green cards.
