Santorum didn’t do very well in the GOP primaries this last time. Did he win even one state?

There are people here who want 100% perfection and will take their ball and go home if they don’t get it.
Whether it is Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, Marco Rubio, Rick Santorum, or Allen West - there is no republican that supports mass deportation. Apparently the new standard is that if you do not support 100% deportation you are in favor of Amnesty (This is what we are being told now - not my definition).
Then there isn’t a candidate that exist that does not support Amnesty. I am waiting to see if this standard is applied to everyone favorite candidate.
Yeah, I do have a better plan. Close the border - do not “secure” the border, close it. No one comes into America without the proper paperwork. Drop the hammer on employers who hire illegal immigrants. Do not allow them employment, or welfare, or health benefits (except emergency treatment - I’m not a monster), and especially not college tuition. They will self-deport if there are no benefits to being here. Cut off everything, regardless of when they arrived or how long they have been here, or how many children they have had here. Illegal is illegal, period.

I'm pretty sure it died after the 1984 election. This is not a new phenomenon. No leading candidate since then has been other than a puppet. Any outsider who even begins to threaten to rise to prominence gets the Ron Paul/Sarah Palin ridicule treatment, with big money behind it.

Santorum or Allen West have a better chance. An anti-amnesty candidate could get minimum numbers like Romney at 30% in the early primaries while the amnesty candidates split their vote.
Santorum is hanging out on WND where he will realise amnesty is not popular with the base.
