Let's ban all the bumper stickers that say "My child is an honor student at XYZ School" and confiscate all cars that have such a sticker! Give those cars to an illegal alien so he can start a paper route!

It’s getting to the point where you can identify a Massachusetts-based news article just by the title...

More of the left wing's war on excellence. Worker ants don't need honors.

Yeah, why give out grades at all?

Just pass out honors to everyone Or better yet - select a gay bi-gendered trans-neutered femboy. Give the honor to it.

So... let's do away with grades altogether, then.
And no keeping attendance, either. Some kids get sicker than others.
And, by the way, no sports teams, because some kids can't dunk.
And no cheerleaders, because some kids aren't as pretty as others.
And no band, because not everyone can have the same musical talent.
CELEBRATE UNIFORMITY !

Don’t want to hurt kids self-esteem do we? Because life should be nothing but a series of happy events for everybody. That way, everybody is a success. Whoopee.
To: ilovesarah2012
A lot of people are disappointed they didn’t make the sports teams. I assume honoring them will not happen.

translation of the principle’s words: “Let’s place a priority on failure to work hard enough over success.”
His message to the students: “Learn to get along instead of getting ahead.”
His message to the future: “Lower your expectations of us, we will not meet them.”

This is real child abuse. This hurts the achievers in many ways and I feel sorry for them.

Massachusetts must be purged from the union. There is nothing there worth saving. The state is a detrimental drag on America.

You know, the odds are that Mr. Fabrizio didn't graduate with honors. Was he "devastated" by that?

Gee, I wonder if the kids who worked hard for it and DID win, only to see the celebration cancelled, were “devastated”.
Some of these guys need to be bitc# slapped.

Wouldn’t canceling it be devastating to the honoree’s families?
