They hear that their cause is lost, that demographics and the march of history have doomed their campaign to keep marriage only between a man and a woman. But the young conservatives who oppose same-sex marriage — unlike most of their generation — remain undaunted.
They identify themselves as part of the “pro-marriage movement” and see themselves at the beginning of a long political struggle, much like the battle over abortion. If they can begin shifting the terms of the debate away from gay rights and toward the meaning of marriage, they say, they have a chance to survive short-term defeats.
“The primary challenge that our side faces right now is the intense social pressure,” said Joseph Backholm, 34, the executive director of the Family Policy Institute of Washington. “To the extent that the other side is able to frame this as a vote for gay people to be happy, it will be challenging for us.”
To put it another way, opponents of same-sex marriage say they must argue in favor of traditional marriage, not against gay people or gay rights. “It’s really a broader defense of marriage and a stronger marriage culture,” said Will Haun, 26, a lawyer and member of the Federalist Society.

Apparently there will be a gathering of REAL MARRIAGE supporters in D.C. on Tuesday. Tuesday is, I think, the scheduled day for the Supreme Court to hear arguments about the two marriage cases.

Most homosexuals I’ve come across have been annoying when it comes to their personalities. I think America might just get tired of this crap. Didn’t the children of the 80s support abortion more than the children of the 90s? There is a cycle, even to this. Russia was perfectly okay with having homosexuality in the public sphere, but then went sharply against it just recently, with support of the public.

my wife and I were talking about this issue and I told her that there was rampant homosexuality in the 20’s, there was sex , a wave of the feminazis but then we look at the 50’s which was a great time, Reagan came in the 80’s and turned it back from Carter and the druggie years of even earlier.

My kids friends,and my kids who I might add were raised conservatives all say they know marriage is between one man and one woman and other kinds of marriage is weird.
My oldest is here next to me right now, he;s 15 and I asked him about this and he replied that all of his friends think it;s weird and thta there are two boys who act girlie, one thinks he likes boys and all the boys stay away from him as he;s annoying like you said, he;s always acting like an idiot and he;s just weird.

50% of the public may indeed so “no problem” with same sex marriage but similar polls show that the majority thinks that 25% of the public is gay (10 time higher than reality).
And out of that 2%, not many of them are actually looking to get married with ONE partner for life.

I heard Hannity state on his radio that hardly anyone cares about this issue, meaning really he tries to get out of talking abut it because he dones;t want to upset his homo pals up in NYC.

In Texas a lesbian couple (married out of state) judge shopped and got a “divorce” pushed through the courts.
Some within the state sought to invalidate that “landmark”. If I recall, an appeal judge said that no divorce was necessary since the state did not recognize their marriage in the first place.

I remember a case like that in LA but the NY men were told they can;t have a divorce because they are not arried in that state of which the NY mayor told LA they should let them recognise this marriage to which Jindal said you don;t recognise our gun laws
S FL two homosexual women wanted to adopt a kid and that is against the law here but they went judge shopping, found a homosexual woman judge in Miami and then she ruled for them
I can;t find the info but the original homosexual lot who first got married in MA are all but one divorced and a couple of them were divorced within months so it seems that they used the cameras and a law pushed on the people of MA fro a promotion of a bigger agenda
Yet when the Lawrence v. Texas decision was announced, we were told that “there IS NO homosexual ‘agenda’”.
And the DA who brought the case to trial never even supported the law in the first place. He said that he can’t choose which laws he wants to prosecute and which he doesn’t. Then he sought prosecution of Texans legally carrying guns in their cars.
Ultimately he was run out of office over a workplace affair and charges of “racism” for emailing someone a comic strip where Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton stand next to a wishing well, toss a coin in, and make a wish for an end to racism in America. Both of them disappear.

The homosexual who made the call (some erroneously alleged it was an angry “homophobic neighbor”) was the jilted lover of one of the men in the case. He later had a pending physical assault case against that man. He was murdered before anything ever went to trial and his murder has never been solved.
One of the two men in the case has already died. Not sure about the other. They had rap sheets for drug offenses (and I seem to recall reports that there were drugs in view when the police entered yet the DA never prosecuted THAT crime) and other crimes.

I;ve had to raise my kids , oldest is 15 to stand up for marriage and what are parents, which is sad as we never had all thiscrap growing up, infact they were told to seek mental help for this.
