It the same as mil-spec M-9s sidearms which are really Bernetta 92fs.
The issue, therefore, is that the AR-15 was originally developed as a selective fire rifle with full auto capability. Which is considerably different than the semi-auto version that Biden mistakenly refers to as a “weapon of war”.
Biden needs to pony up evidence that the semi-auto AR-15 is really a “weapon of war”. Otherwise his claim is bullsh#t.

I got that but they are not the same as the post 72 AR’s at all. They changed the internal parts and pin locations so that the select fire and the semi auto parts can not be interchanged between receivers.
There has never been an AR sold on the civilian market that I know of that is select fire. Very few of them were sold that the parts would interchange either.
