The regulatory process is of course deeply flawed (particularly their silly survey system to estimate recreational catches) but if commercial fishermen were left to their own devices without regulation, there wouldn’t be a single Cod within 1000 miles of Massachusetts right now.

Exactly. They almost drove whales to extinction until they were forced to stop. They will do the same with cod, even if it hurts their industry in the long run. They are now taking cod that haven’t even reached reproductive age. They keep complaining the govt. is hurting their industry. Good grief. If the fisherman were left alone, they would destroy their industry themselves.

So are we enforcing this on the Russians, Japanese, and other European countries or just the Massachusetts fishermen?

So just because we can’t enforce it on Russia, we should just let the New England fisherman go all out and make the extinction happen even faster?

Words make the world move. Short, unconnected words are quickly dismissed and summarily forgotten. Thanks for reading my missive!

Uh, huh. All those words to say it’s all a hippy-Commie-Nazi-muslim plot against fishermen.
