One of NBC's reasons for replacing Jay Leno with Jimmy Fallon on "The Tonight Show" is its hope that Fallon can compete with Jimmy Kimmel for younger viewers.

So Kimmel must be trouncing Leno in that demographic, right?

Actually, no.

Leno is being shuffled from "Tonight" despite leading in the 18-49 demo most important to advertisers, in the 25-54 demographic most often used to gauge late night audiences, and in total viewers.

The reason is politics and nothing else. He regularly mocks obama, so no matter how well he does with viewers, he has to go.

Jay’s crowd is mostly the folks over forty-five. I suspect that advertisers are talking this up, and Jay has to go because the big bucks are with the 18 to 30 year old group. Course, Jay will end up with Fox News, and take his crowd with him.

Jimmy better watch out. If Conan O’Brien leaves any legacy, it’s don’t take over for Jay Leno on the Tonight Show if Jay decides to leave and have his own show.

From the article, Jay Leno is also winning that age group over his competitors.

NBC canceled Star Trek after three seasons, BECAUSE THEY THOUGHT THEY COULD DO BETTER. Network executives have a very aggresive frame of mind.

Why don’t they just replace him with Chris Tingle. He’s a laughing stock.

Did you only read the headline?

I have never, not even once, laughed at something Jimmy Fallon did.

Face it, Lorne Micheals had a good run... in the 70’s and 80’s.

SNL and all the stars from the 90’s are pretty washed up.

Thursday night comedy on NBC was way better before the SNL crew moved in...

No, Jay leads with all age groups. Kids like talent, too. Many will follow him to Fox.

Fallon is a six year old in a man’s body. He also has New Black Panther band ‘The Roots’ backing him up. A degenerate group of freaks, led by Fallon who is the god of cruddy jokes for the young, funyun munching morons taking degrees in ‘Directing’ and ‘Human Sexuality’.

Weird, since Leno is one of their few money-makers. These guys are in the celler. So they trade their clean-up hitter?

In this case, it’s just stupidity, not politics. The Tonight Show is NBC’s most profitable show. I think they said it was the majority of their profit. Changing that on purpose is tremendously stupid. What’s even more stupid is they just did this 3 years ago. It failed and they paid Conan O’Brien something like $43 million to go away. Plus, they lost his show, which was successful. Maybe in another year, they will be giving Jimmy Fallon $50 million to work for someone else.

Speaking of Conan, him and Al Frankenstein are doing a classic Obama “pay for a chance to date us” fundraising con to rake in cash. How pathetic.

Fallon is not funny. He does child like drama. People must be zombies to think that he is a funny comedian.

News is that Steve Carells new movie Mr. Wonderblaster or whatever the heck is a total bomb at the box office, despite having Jim Carrey as a wingman.

Carell is another one who never amused me. He’s rude, he’s self-absorbed, whatever his idea of “comedy” is, it don’t work for me!
