A proposal to repeal the crime of adultery from Colorados books has been signed into law.
The legislation that Gov. John Hickenlooper signed Friday removes what Democratic bill sponsors say is an outdated 19-century statute. The bill also would repeal the rarely-used law of contributing to sexual immorality by providing a place, such as a hotel room, for unmarried people to have sex.

paving the way for polygamy...
Another affront to the sanctity of marriage.
Satan is the head of the Democrat party. Libertarians want government out of marriage, but that viewpoint is flawed. One important function of government is to enforce contracts. And there is no more important contract than marriage.
Gays must be baffled. All this time they have thought that marriage and a marriage certificate were very important and meant something special. Official recognition of a special status and all. They fought so hard to be able to have that official recognized status.
Now they find out it doesn’t mean much at all.
Some guy in South Carolina won a half million dollar lawsuit against his former wife’s lover. Adultery is a crime in South Carolina, and the aggrieved spouse can seek civil redress as well, as in most states. The notion that a wife’s boyfriend can be taken to court for damages certainly seems archaic. Not wrong, just out of date.
As Howie Carr said, under Massachusetts law, if your wife commits adultery, you owe her half a million dollars. If you commit adultery, you owe her half a million dollars. Howie, who is twice married, knows where of he speaks.
Fornication is the norm here, and a plurality have engaged in sexual relationships before marriage.
Fornication is no less of a sin compared to faggotry.
“One important function of government is to enforce contracts. And there is no more important contract than marriage.”
Marriage is not a contract... contract assumes that you can terminate it. Marriage is a bond that cannot be terminated. I have no respect for those who have divorced — they have proven that they cannot be trusted.
What if the divorce was against your wishes?
you assume infidelity.
Part of the marriage contracts reads, "Until death . . "
what if you are orthodox? there is no “til death” it is “and beyond”.
(they also allow for divorce - for cause)
