HOUSTON — Authorities were investigating an attempted robbery scene in north Texas on Thursday where two Oklahoma teenagers were found fatally shot — possibly by self-inflicted gunshots — and the local sheriff praised the armed homeowner who fired on the suspected intruders.

Looks like the homeowner may have saved innocent lives.

I am surprised to see this in sycj a lib rag
Interesting that this was not in the Dallas paper although it may be in their online site.

so if the one crook had several gun shot wounds AND a self inflicted wound the homeowner didn’t miss.
Good for the home owner

The teens identifications were not immediately released until they found out they were white.

I wonder what Pierce Morgan will have to say about this.

They needed killin'.

Happily, they got what they needed.

Don’t know if you noticed the poll question at the site: “Would you shoot at a suspected robber trying to intrude into your home?”

You could suspect it was a lib paper asking the question. If it were a Texas paper, the question would be phrased: “Would you shoot a suspected robber....”. There is no shooting “at” someone in Texas like they do in California.

BTW, latest poll results were 87% yes, 13% no. Although a relatively small number, that 13% would find themselves pushing up daisies about now.

This should be called plagiarism. They get away with it by taking other copy and changing the words and sentence structure.

I guess this incident is counter to mikey moorons claim that the “”people” who want to break in to your house won’t be the freckled face kid from down the street.” Thus putting to rest (yeah, right) that gun ownership is racist. Hey mikey. STFU. (just wait til the government gets his BMI on record!)

"[D]ied Wednesday of what appeared to be self-inflicted gunshot wounds".

So are they saying the homeowner DIDN'T shoot them or that breaking into someone's home in Texas is a form of suicide?

They think they're showing Texas/Texans in an unflattering light....still holding out hope the perps were "special, protected class" which would, in Liberal's minds, be a hate crime.

Don’t know what the reporter was attempting to convey, but I do know criminals who decide to break into an occupied Texas home are suicidal given the risk factors of high gun ownership and bodies carried out in boxes. The same is true of robbers who go after occupied businesses.

Texas has a lot of crime and if we were not armed, we be Mexico.

“I am surprised to see this in [] a lib rag”

Read the headline again...what’s being set up here is the scorn to be directed at the gun-crazy sheriff and especially heaped upon those evilllll homeowners.

Even worse, did you read some of the comments left by the latimes readers? Specifically “Progressive34”. I thought maybe the “sarc” switch was on but now I think this (sick) person was being sincere. Heaven help us. Typical thought process of a radical left wing extremist demokkkrat scumbag. THIS is what we have to deal with in case you don’t want to go back to the latimes and read the comment:

Progressive34 at 10:10 AM March 23, 2013

Why do 2 children, OUR CHILDREN, yes all of us - why must they BE KILLED because of some trigger-happy hick in Texas? MORE GUN VIOLENCE and people actually support this SENSELESS KILLING. My goodness.

Thankfully we live in California, and we MAKE SURE that VIGILANTES, like that man cannot take justice into his own hands!!!

Thank God!!!

Shaking my head.

Modern journalism. Poorly edited, confused, amphibolous, and biased.

Who knows what really happened.

I'm just pleased that two thugs achieved room temperature.

I guess these two young Oklahomans had never heard the slogan, “Don’t Mess with Texas?”

Look at the picture of the criminal. Looks similar to Lanza which is probably why they are using it instead of the more recent picture of him with a shaved head.

No, you can't always get what you want

No, you can't always get what you want
But if you try sometime, you just might find
You get what you need

from another article:

....Palmer said Wednesday that Kenneth Chaffin had taken nine handguns, six rifles and two shotguns from his parents’ home....

They were well armed with weapons and some 2000 rounds of ammo it seems.

At the risk of catching some flak here, I’m not exactly thrilled about a couple of kids paying the ultimate price for a goofball prank. But, at the point where they (the kids) are ARMED for their “prank”, they have selected the table stakes all on their own and could have been killed just for that. Then, they could have escaped with being winged by surrendering. Ultimately, four separate choices were made and they lost ALL of them. 1: prank 2: armed 3: failure to surrender when they had clearly lost 4: suicide. Bad day.
