LONDON (AP) Boris Berezovsky, a self-exiled and outspoken former Russian oligarch who had a bitter falling out with Russian President Vladimir Putin, was found dead Saturday in southeast England. He was 67.
Thames Valley police said his death was being treated as unexplained. They would not directly identify him, but when asked about him by name they read a statement saying they were investigating the death of a 67-year-old man at a property in Ascot, a town 40 kilometers (25 miles) west of London.
A mathematician-turned-Mercedes dealer, Berezovsky amassed his wealth during Russia's chaotic privatization of state assets in the early 1990s. In return for backing former Russian President Boris Yeltsin, he gained political clout and opportunities to buy state assets at knockdown prices.
But the one-time Kremlin powerbroker fell out with Putin and sought political asylum in Britain in the early 2000s. He has lived in the U.K. ever since.

A big bowl of Polonium borscht for lunch?
Ruskies are pi**ed over the Cyprus Banking fiasco.
Am I the only one jealous of the Russians ability to rub out anyone that irritates them and get away with it?
Did he have any recent “visitors”?
In Russia, Putin leads a cult of personality. Either you support him or you are afraid of him. He doesn’t lead any sort of an idealogical movement. He is just the head thug in a thugocracy.
He had huge financial problems lately, since he lost a large lawsuit. In essence he was out of money, and with high ongoing expenses.
I don't know if he died on his own or he had help. Many substances are known to man that can induce a heart attack, especially in hot water.
But in last few years he was largely harmless to Putin. He had no money left, and he had very few trusted friends. Within this year Berezovsky would have been forced to downgrade his status. If he died naturally, that would be a major psychological cause.
Berezovsky was not an innocent victim either. He poured tons of gasoline into the Chechen war by financing Chechens and their Saudi (wahhabi) bosses and instructors for the purpose of overthrowing Putin. He wanted to do that because in Yeltsin's time Berezovsky was essentially in command in Kremlin; but Putin kicked him out, hard. Berezovsky's friend, Khodorkovsky, was even imprisoned. Berezovsky realized that either he obeys the new boss or he will have many years of unrestricted communication with Khodorkovsky. So he left the country and worked against Putin from London. He had other options; most other oligarchs accepted Putin as their boss and are doing pretty good these days. It's the Chinese model: you can get filthy rich if you want to, but don't dare getting into politics.
At least that's what one can gather from whatever news and articles are available on the Internet.
Hey, Chicago Mob, Russian Mob, What's the difference ?
What do you think of Obammy’s drone death panel?
Trotsky ping!
Cough, cough....those Russians get sick easy.
No, your not. Cyprus should be very concerned about a Russian backlash. Screw with the Russians at your own peril - laugh at the Americans all you want.
Hey, he had a little accident.
“He died of natural causes”
“Really? But he was young”
“If someone shoots you in the head, naturally, you die”.
