Exclusive: Sasha, Malia Obama vacation at Bahamas' 'Atlantis' Resort
Breitbart ^ | 3/25/13 | Matthew Boyle

Posted on 03/25/2013 8:15:28 AM PDT by Nachum

Sasha and Malia Obama are quietly vacationing at the Atlantis resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas, Breitbart News has learned.

A source tipped Breitbart News off to the First Daughters’ spring vacation, which was not publicly announced or reported.

Breitbart subsequently confirmed President Barack Obama’s daughters’ trip with other sources. Both the White House and the Atlantis resort declined to confirm the report or comment, but another guest provided a photograph of Sasha and Malia at the resort.

Social media, including Twitter and Facebook, have also carried reports of the First Daughters' presence at Atlantis. One person who is at the resort wrote: “Rumor confirmed: friends saw the first daughters with a gaggle of friends being escorted to the held elevator.”

Via Twitter, another person wrote: “Obama daughters at the same restaurant as me...in the bahamas.”

[Would you?]

No, I really think those girls are living under a lot of suppression and I feel sorry for them.

These young ladies were texting during their father’s Inauguration parades...like their father, they will never know love for or have respect for America; they will just use her resources as needed.

“Detroit, Michigan comes to mind.”

Wouldn’t dare send them to Detroit...Obama’s Michigan ‘Sons’, if he had any, would make it a very dangerous place for them, and really make it tough on the Secret Service job...

...of course, they could visit Belle Isle, the Henry Ford Museum (America’s Greatest History Destination), Greenfield Village. They could actually learn enough about America to like America, rather to hate America like their evil parents do.

They can’t dine at Little Harry’s or Carl’s Chop House. I don’t even know if they can shop at Hudson’s.

Atlantis is a family spot, not a party spot!

The caption in the story indicated it had a premier version of one of these tween nightclubs...age 13 - 17. Its sort of a dress rehearsal for ‘clubbing’. IdI don’t know what to call that....but leaving your tween lin a gaux night club while you go to a real one is certainly a new type of ‘family’ spot.

I was there two years ago...with a 5 year old. It is family oreinted.

I just love it when people opine about things they know nothing about.

One thing you can call it is "EXPENSIVE." No telling what this vacation is costing taxpayers. A large (48 oz) bottle of water was $9.

“Let them eat... kale.”

haha

Honestly, I know some people are going to have a fit when they read this, but I really don’t care if the girls get to travel a lot. It’s got to be pretty crappy living your teenage years with a bunch of secret service following you everywhere, and not being free to come and go with your friends. All of these trips are carefully planned for their safety.

I figure it’s a trade off for forcing teens to live like this.

FLame away. :)

Its not a requirement to actually have gone there to know anything about it.

They do this little thing called advertising. Here is the link to the exact activity I was describing:

We can argue about whether or not you think kids grinding in a nightclub (until 1:00 a.m.)is family friendly...but don’t pretend that what I described doesn’t exist.

Just weeks after going to Aspen. I live in Denver and can’t afford to ski there on a day trip let alone stay for an extended weekend.

My! Don't you have a dirty imagination?

Get your mind out of the gutter!

So instead of admitting you were wrong, you assign a perversion to me.

Why do I think they are ‘grinding’? Last week Nightline had an episode on a club alot like this...and the video showed alot of teens in inappropriate outfits grinding on each other. It was really quite disturbing. I Googled the Nightline story, and guess what? The club they featured was this very club. Whodathunkit.

Here’s their teaser:

“In a dimly lit, subterranean club at the Atlantis Hotel and Casino in the Bahamas, girls bounced around on the dance floor as pubescent boys awkwardly stood nearby, gawking. It’s called Club Crush”

Maybe, just maybe...we can disagree about how appropriate this is, without your insinuating I’m a pervert.

And maybe, just maybe, even though you are a self proclaimed expert on this resort, you have been educated about something you were unaware of (and may not have even been there during your fact finding tour).

My only 2 times on skis back in late-50s, I crashed into shrubs and trees, and haven’t tried it again for past 50+yrs. Not much point in me even thinking about going to aspen/vail etc... nice to save the bucks.

Of course they are on vacation. Obama and his family fiddle while the USA burns.

Okay! Your gutter imagination is more accurate than my personal experience.

You are an expert based on what you saw on TV.

Picture this...they have booths made to look like backseats of cars!

Actually, families with young children and babies in stroolers far outnumber the teenagers at Atlantis.

That's what I saw on my fact finding mission.

BTW, I broke my shoulder at the airport going and spent 5 days on Aleve and managed quite well. Even swam with a dolphin.

I had a good idea my shoulder was broken but not being an expert on broken bones, I only had it X-ray confirmed after returning home.

BTW, when I went to the orthopedic doc and told him where I was headed when I broke my shoulder at the airport, he went into a tirade.

He and family had recently returned from Atlantis and his 4, 6, 8, year olds were clamoring to go back.

He said, "I told my wife they would go back when THEY were paying for it!"
