Because of asset seizures, I am starting my new company outside California

...

While the law stipulates that I must surrender this money, I refuse to acknowledge this as a tax at all. This is not a tax. This is an asset seizure plain and simple. The term “retroactive tax” is a despicable euphemism. It is no different than when Hugo Chavez used the benign-sounding “nationalize” to describe his seizure of private property in Venezuela.

Now before I go any further, let me tell you what I am not.

I am not a Tea Party member. I am not even a Republican. Twice I have voted for Barack Obama, and I was supportive of his tax compromise earlier this year. I am not a person who opposes paying taxes, even higher ones. I am a very reasonable person who respects the great opportunity that America has given to me.

But there is a very clear and unambiguous line between taxes — regardless of how high they are — and asset seizures. The State of California has taken money from me. Money that I already earned and paid taxes on, and I will not tolerate this act of theft.

It took me about 5 minutes to figure out who Obama was in Feb/March 2008 when he seriously challenged Clintoon for the Dem nomination. Some dense people need more clues.

This, ladies and gentleman, is what you get when you vote for gay policies and because you are made against the war on women ... or the war in Iraq, or you are some sort of environmental nut case.

I hope he goes to infect some other liberal state with his madness. Stay the HELL out of the Red States ...he and his ilk are like a virus that just keeps popping up and cannot be eradicated.

Wouldn’t the taxes in NYC be higher than in CA?

So he’s moving his company to New York. Great. Instead of asset seizures, he’ll get worse weather and smaller sodas. And THEN they’ll probably seize his assets with a retroactive tax, between Bloomberg and Cuomo.

Maybe he’ll learn someday. Maybe.

Ok. Yep, these types have acted like idiots.

However, if we're serious about turning things around, these people are opportunities.

This person could vote more conservative next time.

Isn't that our goal? Shouldn't we be pleased that they've seen the light?

What can we do to further enlighten them?

Oh, no government will never steal the assets of the citizens.

Never.

Cyprus.

California.

Retroactive tax increases.

Voted twice for Obozo?

Then it is not asset seizure, it’s retroactive tithing to your religion. You asked for it, now enjoy a big heaping serving of fascism.

Anyone voting for the Kenyan a second time is just paying a well deserved tax on stupidity. It should be 95%.

I will try to state this briefly about illegal federal taxes.

State governments evidently do not understand that the Supreme Court has clarified that Congress’s power to lay taxes is limited. Consequently, state governments are now unthinkingly trying to rob taxpayers by means of asset seisures, as Mr. Goldberg has put it, because they don’t understand that corrupt Congress is arguably robbing state revenues in the form of illegal federal taxes being layed on citizens.

Ok, let me get this straight:
- claims to be a democrat at heart but is pissed because the tax penalty that came with it (it's a tax, no matter how much he want's to rename it)
- voted for bronco bomba twice
- doesn't mind otherwise ridiculously high taxes, but now it's coming out of his pocket so it's a problem
- had they stolen it from him yesterday it would have been Ok with him, but not today?
- is moving to NYC because they won't do this to him there?

I gotta say, the liberal mind sure is full of mush and hypocrisy. Frankly, I think he not only got what he asked for, he's going to get a double infusion of it when he moves to his beloved liberal NYC. HAHAHAHAH !

Elections have consequences. You’re a dumbass - that has consequences, too. Good luck with that.
