Farmers fear that thousands of sheep and cattle have died in the snow that has hit in recent days.
Northern Ireland farmer Catherine Crawford said: "There are hundreds of farmers who have sheep buried."
"We are very, very, anxious," said Carolyn Lamb from NFU Scotland, who added that the full toll would not be known until the snow melted.
The NFU said hundreds of animals were lost in England and Wales, with Cumbria and Shropshire worst hit.
"There are animals going to die here and are dying; we need help out in the rural areas," said Ms Crawford. ...

Interesting development in the UK. I wonder if the Gulf Stream remains weak for that area. The slightly more extreme weather fluctuations are not caused by mankind, but they are happening and might be more noticeable for people at lower elevations in our US Midwest in 3-6 years.
It's all that civilian (military ammo is made to high air-quality standards, so doesn't count!) ammunition shotted off by rich (is there any other kind?!?) white (Michael Moore says they own 90% of the guns!) male Americans, emitting tonnes of greenhouse gassers ever time some crazed Fudd blasts away at an innocent animal; or nut-job redneck chuteses at an uninvited household intruder.

You said that well “rich white Americans who own guns” but you forgot what those rich white Americans drive......... SUV’s every single one of them owns a fleet of evil SUV’s and they all voted for GBush!
You hit on something that is very important, this obvious connection of SUVs and GWB voters have to the problem of climate hope and change, for we know the carbon footprint of these subgroups is dastardly high and inherently racist. The list of guilty offenders is indeed long, but one need only connect the dots to see the full picture-- these are unavoidably conservative suspects.
Sometimes I leave the motor running while it is parked in the driveway....... I am VERY evil.
It’s so darn hard to keep up with all this PC nonsense, I’m always forgetting someone and not being all inclusive!
