My comment was sent to both Virginia Senators in response to Senate Bill S.679. I hope other FReepers will contact their Senators as well. If you wish to use my comment verbatim, please feel free to do so.
If they are going to ignore us for proper use of the English language, why bother sending anything to them in the first place?
That is a wonderful commentary on the stupidity of Democratic senators.

I am writing this comment to you today to ask you to vote against S. 679 when the bill comes up for a vote. The bill is a violation of the 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 14th Amendments to the Constitution. The bill calls for the registration of all guns and gun owners. Such coercion would dissuade some citizens from purchasing firearms as they see fit; also, the Registration section of S.679 is an outright invasion of the privacy and anti-discrimination rights that American citizens enjoy. I am a gun owner, that fact does not make me responsible the action of people who commit crimes with firearms, and pursuant to the 5th and 6th Amendments to the Constitution, I can not be punished for said actions without due process.
