Reckon Jim Carrey lost a few of his 10 million Twitter followers Monday?
In a biting "Hee-Haw" themed Funny or Die spoof, the outspoken comedian takes aim at America's "heartless" gun enthusiasts -- including Charlton Heston, the late actor and former NRA president.
Carrey performed double duty in the video, as both Heston and the twangy lead singer of the band performing the catchy "Cold Dead Hand." (The title is an allusion to Heston's rifle-toting 2000 NRA address, in which he referenced the famous slogan "I'll give you my gun when you pry it from my cold, dead hands.")
Hollywood actors should stick to what they do best: pretending to be someone else.

Lets be clear about Jim Carey and don’t give him so much credit. He is a high school dropout who has admittedley suffered for years with manic depression and bipolar disorder. Makes it a little difficult to take his comedy seriously.
He can make an idiot of himself...not hard to do...and I could care.

I liked Dumb and Dumber, that’s about it.
I saw his anti-gun skit, and decided to never pay for another movie with him in it. No need to subsidize that crap.
For every 10 viewers of his “cold Dead Hands”, he is losing a few fans.
Likely he is just so out of touch he does not realize that he is isolating himself from the mass market - lived in the liberal echo chamber for too long.
The pet detectives were funny, in five-minute chunks, but only because the rubberface was so new...
