42-year-old Cruz was born in Calgary, Alberta, to an American mother and a Cuban father. By dint of his mother’s citizenship, Cruz was an American citizen at birth. Whether he meets the Constitution’s requirement that the president of the United States be a “natural-born citizen,” a term the Framers didn’t define and for which the nation’s courts have yet to offer an interpretation, has become the subject of considerable speculation.

Legal scholars are firm about Cruz’s eligibility. “Of course he’s eligible,” Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz tells National Review Online. “He’s a natural-born, not a naturalized, citizen.” Eugene Volokh, a professor at the UCLA School of Law and longtime friend of Cruz, agrees, saying the senator was “a citizen at birth, and thus a natural-born citizen — as opposed to a naturalized citizen, which I understand to mean someone who becomes a citizen after birth.”
Federal law extends citizenship beyond those granted it by the 14th Amendment: It confers the privilege on all those born outside of the United States whose parents are both citizens, provided one of them has been “physically present” in the United States for any period of time, as well as all those born outside of the United States to at least one citizen parent who, after the age of 14, has resided in the United States for at least five years. Cruz’s mother, who was born and raised in Delaware, meets the latter requirement, so Cruz himself is undoubtedly an American citizen. No court has ruled what makes a “natural-born citizen,” but there appears to be a consensus that the term refers to those who gain American citizenship by birth rather than by naturalization

Under American law, Cruz would NOT be subject to any foreign military draft.
The United States State Department does not recognize “dual Citizenship”

The “entire PURPOSE” of the 14th amendment was to make “slaves” citizens. Up to that point, they were property.
However, the radical birthers who quote Vattell are nuts. Two Citizen parents are not required if born on US Soil.
At least one Citizen parent is required, with other hoops, if born on foreign soil, depending on the law at the time of birth.
That is where I fall.
This is a difficult time for all of us, but particularly for birthers. As God reveals His will, it is always easier and better for us when we learn to cheerfully accept His choices and His plans for us.
All presidents post grandfather clause were born of TWO U.S. Citizen parents with the exception of Chester Arthur who managed to sneak through the cracks.

I looked up some of those names, and it appears that those naturalization acts applied to "persons who had left the State during the Revolution, and adhered to the crown, or, in the words of the statute, had 'joined the enemies of the State.'
Yet you provide no evidence of the search.

I never said anything about the response (compelling) or lack of response (ignoring).
The very act of mailing the draft notice is an affirmative claim from Canada upon Cruz. End of story.
A natural born citizen would NEVER be sent a draft notice from a foreign country.

No, it's not an absolute lie. A conservative wrote an entire book on the birth certificate forgery evidence and concluded that there wasn't anything there. He also presented some pretty clear evidence that the Cold Case Posse committed outright fraud in one of their press conferences.
Not that any of that will matter to you. You don't care what anyone, conservative or otherwise, has to say. Mark Levin, who lives and breathes the Constitution - I listen to his show quite regularly - doesn't matter. National Review doesn't matter. The Heritage Foundation doesn't matter. Reagan Supreme Court appointee Sandra Day O'Connor doesn't matter. Eugene Volokh doesn't matter. The folks at RedState.com don't matter. Conservatives all, and yet you're smarter than all of them. Put together.
I looked at the site. Not a whole lot of debunking going on. Mostly they seemed obsessed w the #9. Are they Beatles fans? I noticed the comment section referenced Dr. Conspiracy in roughly every other post. They sure are big big fans of his, aren’t they?
One thing I didn’t see was info from the National Archives re: the missing record of foreign arrivals into HI for the wk of Obama’s supposed birth. If that wk is actually there, intact & readily available for examination [meaning that Zullo lied outright] how hard can it be for someone to verify it? Got a link?
I knew you would link to John Woodman’s book. He was interviewed by Mark Gillar on a radio station and was put on the spot by computer experts in a heated debate. Woodman’s claims were ripped to shreds. He couldn’t even answer the simple question... “How can a photocopy be of such poor quality as to not pick up the security paper on the page and of such high quality as to pick up a document behind it?”. Woodman was exposed as a obot in bed with Dr. Conspiracy and the Fogbowers. He wrote the book as a intent to obfuscate the evidence of the Cold Case Posse’s investigation. It should be noted that Woodman has never been able to duplicate ANY of the numerous anomalies on Obama’s birth certificate. The Maricopa County Sheriff Department and its Cold Case Posse is a authoritative law enforcement body and their evidence stands. Woodman, who is not a document expert nor a law enforcement investigator, is not authoritative on any matter when it comes to investigating fraudulent documents.
