Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan called homosexuality a “sexual preference” and said it conflicted with the “culture of Islam,” according to a report last week in the Turkish daily Hürriyet.

The remarks rapidly became the subject of criticism on Monday in a widely read European gay media outlet.

Speaking in the Netherlands on Thursday, Erdogan fiercely objected to a Dutch lesbian couple adopting a nine-year-old Turkish boy named Yunus. …

We shall not hear a word about this from Chris Matthews or Rick Madcow.

The left shares a fundamental core principle with Islam: hatred of Western Progress.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan called homosexuality a “sexual preference” and said it conflicted with the “culture of Islam,” according to a report last week in the Turkish daily Hürriyet.

Interesting, it conflicts with Christianity as well.

Note, too, he did not say "Religion of Islam", but "culture of Islam".

Sometimes the truth is revealed in little things, and the difference between a "religion" and a "culture" is significant.

He reveals that Islam is not just a religion but an all-encompassing way of life.

Just maybe such semantic subtlties could wake up the Left in this country? (Yeah, right, they'll still be screaming "why?!!" when the rocks start hitting them.)

Well, it conflicts with our society too, but we’re going to allow it because we have a judicial tyranny and a Marxist in our White House. Oh, and the American Pediatrics Association thinks its all okay, so no need to ask any questions.

You don’t want Turkish kids adopted by homosexuals? Simple. Do what Russia did, and ban adoptions to parents in countries you don’t like.

A child cannot make those type of decisions or any decision for his/her future. This world is crazy. Reminds me of the rich Hollywood types buying into influence and getting babies through deceitful and inappropriate ways. Liberals, you cannot respect them. They don’t put any child first. Only those they can use for their progressive agenda. Hope the mother can get her life back together and her child.

Homosexuality is contrary to almost everything. In that regard, it’s a lot like islam.

I’m confused. Does this mean that the right does NOT share a fundamental core principle with Islam: homophobia?

This is hilarious. Erdoğan does not approve of homosexuality. Yet one of his country's most famous musical artists (in the genre of traditional Turkish classic music) from the 70s and 80s (and maybe to date) is a t-girl:

Bülent Ersoy

I would not be surprised if a few of his/her/its albums were on Erdoğan's shelf.

There are hundreds of thousands of Turks living in Germany ~ as GUEST WORKERS. Without reading the whole thing it’s probably a German adoption of a Turk in Germany.

Evil always contradicts itself, by word and deed. Always the same with Islam and all the branches of that barren tree.

Gays are perpendicular to everything natural.

The whole point about all the current uproar is that they KNOW they are tweaked, and want everyone to accept it as normal, which it is not.

Or US Supreme Court Justices who must compromise themselves because of it.

So why are the LBGT groups silent about the treatment they would receive in a death-cult country?

Oh please let this statement go VIRAL! Someone forward it to Justice Ginsberg. She says she wants ‘international law’ to direct her rulings, right?
