Just wait til all the scandals come out! Hillary’s done—I believe she would have made a better president than Obama—that’s not saying much—Jim Carry would have done that. I do not think she would have tumbled us into the debt we have now. She would have worked better with Congress and the Republicans, But, her day is done. Barring some unexpected and extraordinary events, I do not believe she will ever hold high office again.
It’s an interesting scenario but it’s too novelesque for it to have any credibility. Until OBama came along you really needed an extensive resume to have any political traction.
Yes, in this day and age being New York Senator for 4 years and Secetary of State for another 4 years is a resume that people will respect but I don’t believe she’s going to get off that easy. You’ve got to remember, Obama as President- elect had to do some heavy lifting to retire the millions of dollars in debt Hillary had in her losing efffort to Obama. Not to say, she won’t be the nominee but your take is intriguing nevertheless.

The problem is that there are more Dem voters than Rep voters. If a failed President like Obama can get reelected, it tells me that this country has reached a tipping point. You’re right, but Romney didn’t get as many votes as McCain did four years ago. Romney, terrible candidate. A half-way decent candidate would have beaten Obamagabe.
I have heard many people repeat this lie. I don't know where it got started. The fact is that Romney received a million more votes than McCain did in 2008.

Romney did better than McCain in 8 of the 9 battleground states. He also did better than Rep senatorial nominees in states like ND, IN, and Missouri.
Obama received four million votes less in 2012 than he did in 2008. The problem wasn't Romney. It is a problem of demographics and tribal voting. Blacks (95%), Asians (73%), and Hispanics (71%) voted for Obama in overwhelming numbers. Romney received 59% of the white vote, which would have won him elections in any year including in 2008. The problem is that the white vote is shrinking as a percentage of the population. It is now 66% compared to 89% in 1970. We have reached a tipping point and I don't see how the Reps regain the WH in our lifetime.
By 2042 half of the population of this country will be minorities as defined by the USG. By 2019 half of the children 18 and under will be minorities. Each year that a cohort turns 18 means another infusion of Dem voters and each cohort will be more Dem than the previous one. This is happening while whites become a smaller percentage of the population and die off removing Rep voters. Add to that the 1.2 million LEGAL immigrants we bring in each year, 87% of them minorities as defined by the USG. They vote Dem by more than two to one. Is it any wonder the Reps are panicked?
Then let me rephrase that, he didn’t as many conservative otes as the old traitor McCain got. Conservatives had to hold their nose to vote for both the bastards and Mr. Sodomite Marriage just didn’t excite that many conservatives. They stayed home and watched football.
Denial just ain't a river for Reps. They are deluded to think that if they just communicated their message better or had a more conservative candidate, they will win. It just isn't the case any more. There is a new electorate that no longer shares the vision of our Founders. They are products of our educational system that indoctrinates them from kindergarten on up. And we now have tribal politics where people vote on the basis of race, ethnicity, and gender. Performance no longer matters. The reelection of Obama defied the normal laws of political gravity.

In 1970 it was one in 21; in 1980 it was one in 16; and in 1990 it was one in 13. In a decade, it will be one in 7, the highest it has been in our history. And by 2050, one in 5 residents of the U.S. will be foreign-born. If you don't think that this has electoral consequences, you are living on a different planet.
