A server at Buffalo Wild Wings reportedly refused to serve eight police officers, because they had their weapons displayed.
The Prince William County Police officers were on-duty, but were in plain clothes, reports the Manassas Patch. They were refused service by an employee who stated that the property was a gun-free establishment.
The officers had their badges displayed but still weren't served.
Scott Lupton, the general manager of the Manassas Buffalo Wild Wings location says the incident was a "huge misunderstanding." Lupton wrote an email to the police department to apologize on behalf of the business.
Lupton wasn't there during the incident, but was brought up to speed the next day after returning to work.

The bottom line of the story is that the manager apologized for treating the police officers the way he would treat you or me if he knew we were carrying.

In my days of working for corporations I have actually been treated as if I were an idiot because I did things by the rules as stated by the management. These were always rules that were treated as inviolable as far as official policy is concerned but when they slowed things down they were supposed to be ignored. Sometimes supposedly iron clad safety rules were ignored by management in practice but given total support verbally. The official policy at this restaurant probably says that NO ONE is to be served if they are carrying a weapon.
You have given me a great idea! I am going to put up signs all over my eight acres saying GOVERNMENT AGENT FREE ZONE. Then I will never have to worry about being bothered by government agents in the future.
In Texas, that sign wouldn’t hold up as legal notification.
If they were Black and she refused to serve them, would that be a crime?
Concealed means just that, and, since nobody is able to see my weapon, I simply ignore such signs.
Not if she refused service on the basis of them carrying guns. Now back to my questions. In your opinion, did she commit a crime - yes or no?

I told her her husband they ought to be more careful about their eating habits, as the manner in which they slurp large chunks of food down their gullet is eventually going to result in choking. Maybe to death.
I, being so devoid of ability, won’t have the means or skills to help them and I’ll be sad for it.
Not two weeks later she did exactly that and the husband quickly offered her water, which I slapped out of his.
I then lifted her up, made a fist and bear hugging with a couple hard thrusts upward, found she was pretty good at making a projectile and out it flew from her throat, about twenty feet.
Husband was made and started in on me about the water. I let him go before I ripped him “You idiot! Are you insane or did you really want her die?”
An EMT was eating behind us and he informed the synthetically produced righteously indignant dollard that, that is what would have happened.
I may not help next time.

McDonald’s because their food is disgusting and their ad campaign (’I’m lovin’ it!’) promotes urban gang bangers. I also hate clowns.
Aren’t cops and possibly FBI required to carry, even when “off-duty”?
