A local news affiliate in Idaho reported that the first daughters, Sasha and Malia Obama, are on a Spring Break ski trip in Sun Valley, Idaho. The story quickly spread across the Internet when picked up by the highly trafficked Drudge Report website.

Why is it that leftists only insist that leftist President’s daughters be left alone. If they are going to be treated and act like royalty while their parents continue to have a “let them eat cake “ attitude to the little people of this country, then by all means continue to publish stories about their rich and famous lifestyles. We ARE paying for them, after all.
The US First Family is entitled to SS protection, and in today's sick world with terrorist abductions and ransom and whatnot, I don't begrudge the kids the safety. It's not their fault their Dad is President. (It's ours, but that's a different topic...)
We do not live in North Korea. If the press reports the kids are holiday, that is called freedom of the press. You are naïve to believe this is a safety issue.
News cannot be reported if it has to do with the Dear Leader...unless, of course, that report is worshipful.

I’m embarrassed to say they are in my state.
I’m not sure it is the report about the daughters, per se, that is the problem. It might be that earlier this week they were in the Bahamas, and now they are skiing in Idaho. All this costs tax payers money for the SS to be protecting them. We may even be footing the bill for the air travel (don’t know). Considering we are in “sequester” still, it just looks bad.
They went to both. It’s GOOD to be King!

Yes, it *looks* bad. Which is why the lapdog news that reported it in the first place was so quick to comply when they were asked to spike the story.

The SS protection is not the point. The point is that while the rest of the nation struggles, they continue their extravagant vacations and lifestyle of the rich and famous with the kids taking two vacations in two weeks. It’s not just the SS, it’s the additional entourage that goes with them, friends, handlers etc and all at our expense.
Those two fascists made public figures of their kids, using them whenever it suits their political purposes and they flaunt their “privilege” while everyone else cuts back. They have repeatedly put their kids up front politically and that makes them public figures. Too bad, so sad and I don’t give a rat’s ass about their spawn. They will grow up to be the same type of fascist democrats that their parents are; just like the clinton kid. Keep the privileged brats at home like the rest of us have to.
