Ben Carson: ‘I apologize’ for gay remark

Neurosurgeon Ben Carson apologized Friday for comments he made about gay marriage on Sean Hannity’s TV show earlier this week.

“I think in terms of what was said on Sean Hannity’s show, that was taken completely out of context and completely misunderstood in terms of what I was trying to say,” Carson told MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell. “As a Christian, I have a duty to love all people and that includes people who have other sexual orientations, and I certainly do, and never had any intention of offending anyone… If anyone was offended, I apologize to you.”

The John Hopkins doctor came under scrutiny when he appeared to liken homosexuality to pedophilia and bestiality, sparking the outrage of the LGBT community.

“My thoughts are that marriage is between a man and a woman. It’s a well-established fundamental pillar of society and no group, be they gays, be they NAMBLA, be they people who believe in bestiality, it doesn’t matter what they are, they don’t get to change the definition,” the doctor, who is the director of pediatric neurosurgery, said on Hannity’s show Tuesday.

His comments also led to a petition by students at Johns Hopkins University, who want him to be removed as commencement speaker, as was initially planned. Students, colleagues and the media alike have harshly criticized Carson for his choice of words.

“We have a generation of homosexual-loving lunatics that will be running our country.”

I think you may be more right than you know. I’m 33 years old, will turn 34 this year in September, and when I talk to people who are just 4, 6, 8, 10 years younger than me about politics THIS is their number one issue, regardless of what their own personal lives are like. THIS is actually what they are basing their votes on. Not the economy, foreign affairs, national security, taxes, etc. It definitely seems like lunacy to me...

Dr. Carson shouldn’t have apologized. As a medical person he should not be promoting such unhealthy lifestyles or apologize for saying the truth about them.

When it comes to young people, I tended to be rather concerned about the crippling debt that is being placed on their shoulders by all the rampant deficit-spending and money printing, destroying their future.

But, heck, if all that gets them politically animated are their twin demented obsessions of DOPE and ANUSES... well, to hell with them! Let ‘em enjoy their future third-world, morally degenerate hellhole, formally known as America.

Very sad when sex with whomever or whatever one desires becomes so dominant that it makes the USA like the Greek and Roman Empires were. Welfare is obviously paying far too much to those with bad behavior and too much time on their hands. I believe the left has been so effective in their shock behavior tactics and their organization to push their agenda onto others is much better then ours is to totally shut down behavior that was so far out of line that it was grounds to throw a person out of the military for. In 1965 some barber told a friend who shot pool in the pool hall side of the business that if he wanted to escape the draft all he had to do was either claim he was a fag or a heroin addict.

Before the politically correct cleansing of the “Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders”, ALL of them fell under the category of “Paraphilias”.

And they still do, whether the book says so or not.

Gays aren’t gay.
They’re SSAD.

We have the "White Party" to put up with nearby all this Easter Weekend.....and given that Palm Springs is now 'gayer' than San Francisco, I don't think the city will even bother to bleach and steam clean the alleyways.

I know and I agree, it is demoralizing when not one person on the national scene is willing to stand by what is right when there is actually something at stake. We really do need a hero.
