Didn't something like 95% of black voters vote for him?

As much voter fraud that happened in 2012, like 0 bummer getting 158% of the vote in one precinct, and some admitting to voting several times, 0 may have gotten over 100% of the black vote.

Wow!! That’s amazing. One man invented Internet Explorer??? I’d think that a very large number of Microsoft employees might disagree with his self-characterization.

Statement: "Dangerous Times: America will Survive Obama"

Response: Yes. We will survive him personally. However, it is what he symbolizes that will not be survived. He symbolizes our death and the preceding popular vice addiction, Third World governance with Third World values, Free Stuff, inability to discriminate, our reduction to a mere demographic not a People, pure egalitarianism political, social and economic, the inability to say "you do not belong!" "We are in love with death both individually and collectively."-Livy

This the election of this nonentity symbolizes all the above-our death!

Invent is a strong word here.

Technically the browser was eschewed by Microsoft, until they noticed it was taking off. They wrote their own version and bound it to the Windows 95 Operating System because they were scared to death of Netscape. Netscape itself was a offshoot of several previous projects.

Perhaps your friend was on the team that cloned Netscape for Microsoft?

People love to regulate. Particularly if they are in government at any level. It gives them a great feeling of power over others. Governments love to tax. Those two things are largely responsible for the loss of manufacturing in America.

Some states recognize those facts and mitigate them in order to attract business. Look at Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, South Carolina among the few who now attract and hold industry. They are models of what works, as opposed to those states who continue to lose their industrial and business bases and embrace the left wing state religion.

Will America survive the next president after Obama and the next one after that? Each president is worse than the one who preceded him when it comes to seizing executive power and eroding our liberty.

Lol. More-or-less invented. Of course, Microsoft didn’t really invent the thing.

Check out Yaron Goland. Very smart guy. But a liberal.

He was referring to children, not 18 - 24 y/o.

Does some magical transformation happen when you turn 18?

I agree that young adults are more idealistic and seniors more realistic. The seniors are also from a different time. The ones to come in the next couple decades might be voting quite differently, having grown up around larger government.

The reality is that we are changing demographically, which has electoral consequences. By 2042 half of the population of this country will be minorities as defined by the USG. By 2019 half of the children 18 and under will be minorities. Each year that a cohort turns 18 means another infusion of Dem voters and each cohort will be more Dem than the previous one. It is interesting to note that whites 18-29 voted for Romney 51% to 44%. Blacks of the same age group voted 93% to 6% for Obama as did Latinos 74% to 23%.

This is happening while whites become a smaller percentage of the population and die off removing Rep voters. Add to that the 1.2 million LEGAL immigrants we bring in each year, 87% of them minorities as defined by the USG. They vote Dem by more than two to one. Is it any wonder the Reps are panicked?

How you vote also doesn’t necessarily indicate critical thinking skills. Some just vote R or D because they have their whole lives.

Voting and party identification are largely similar to religion. You inherit it. The fact is that we are entering a era of political tribalism with groups voting on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender, and religion. In 1970 whites comprised 89% of the population. Today it is 66% and will continue to decline. I doubt we will ever see another Rep in the WH for a very, very long time. The Dems are fast becoming the permanent majority party. By 2050 the demographics of the US will resemble the California of today. It is inevitable.

The drift towards the police state, open for a muslim and communist takeover, has lasted since 1945, and been done by both Democrats and Republicans.

Children as in young children. Obviously you change over time, no reason to pose a ridiculous question.

The rest of your post I’m in agreement. Demographics is destiny. Hopefully Hispanics and Asians wake up. If not, we are in serious trouble.

(off topic) Are you a Marine?

“Germany, Austria and Russia did not survive...”

I think you can add Britain and France to your list.

We will not recover “America” in our life time, if ever. There have been no rollbacks of any federal or state agencies or freedom impacting legislation. The Constitution is not honored and used as the basis of our freedom any longer.

I am not giving up. I have granddaughters I want to experience freedom, not governmental dependence.

I am currently reading two books on Stalin's Russia.
“I Choose Freedom” by Victor Kravchenko and “The Great Terror, A Reassessment”, by Robert Conquest.
The pResident, and his handlers, are not heading us toward Eurosocialism, they are heading us toward Stalinistic Russia. IMHO. I will not go to a gulag.

Bring back US jobs. GOP, get with the program. America first!

The GOP has been bought and owned by big business. They could give a damn about the American worker nor do the Dems care. Both parties could care less about the American worker.

During the decade ending in 2010 we brought in more legal, permanent immigrants than at any time in our history--13.9 million. Yet during that same period we had a net loss of 400,000 jobs. Is it any wonder that wages are declining and our welfare rolls exploding? Why are we bringing in more workers while 23 million Americans are looking for full-time employment?

“The GOP however needs to be AMERICAN. Supporting American manufacturing, and bringing American businesses together. The GOP was sold out to globalists. And they tore the heart out of the party.”

Both parties are reflecting the fact that nobody will make a product for $10 if Asia can supply it for $1; it is that simple. Third World factories are newer, their regulations less burdensome, and those jobs will never come back.

My response was directed towards the ridiculous proposition that "children" have some sort of political insight that one loses as one grows older.

The rest of your post I’m in agreement. Demographics is destiny. Hopefully Hispanics and Asians wake up. If not, we are in serious trouble.

They are not going to wake up. Hispanics are natural Dem constituents with 50% out of wedlock birthrates and the highest school drop out rates of any group. Asians are a puzzle in terms of why they vote Dem until you look at the tribal nature of Dem identity politics. The Dems have been successful in painting the GOP as the "white man's party." And programs like affirmative action and minority business set asides reinforce racial and gender identification. There are real benefits associated with being a minority.

off topic) Are you a Marine?

No, but I did spend 8 years as a naval officer and served with Marines in Vietnam.

“I’ve noticed children are very perceptive and can lose that as adults.”

This was the original post. It wasn’t related to politics, but in general application.

To the second point, that’s why I wrote hopefully. I’m not very upbeat about the prospects of future voting trends.

I wondered about USMC because of your FR name. Thanks for your service.

You are correct, the damage won’t be undone. We are still enduring policies from Wilson, FDR, LBJ, that have become entrenched and accepted even by so-called conservatives.

I must repeat again the truth of Margaret Thatcher’s “ratchet effect” theory-

“When the Left gets power, she said, they drive everything Left; when the Right gets power, they slow the Leftward drive, perhaps even halt it for a spell; but nothing ever gets moved to the Right.”

She perfectly understood what’s happening.

I’m not sure I agree with that. There are too many who don’t even want to work, too many who claim to want to but don’t want to really work, doing a real job worth the pay. Too many have become government dependents-including those in “jobsworth” government jobs-and they like it like that. They may even claim to be “socialists” but they don’t understand, that even under socialism, most people must work at a job which is productive to some degree in order for there to be any “wealth” to redistribute. They really believe that as long as small cohort of people can be forced to work at productive jobs, they will be able to get a free ride from the “redistribution” of the small amount of productivity spread amongst the larger cohort which doesn’t produce. What they really believe in is parasitism, a kind of parasitism which kills the host so that everyone dies.

Voting fraud isn't a secret any more than Obama’s ridiculously forged birth certificate and highly questionable eligibility. It is merely being ignored by the media and the Repug establishment refuses to acknowledge its existence.
