The man suspected of killing Colorado's prisons chief was still supposed to be behind bars. But because of a clerical error, Evan Ebel was let out of prison in January -- four years early.
Authorities suspect he went on to kill Tom Clements, who led the state's prison system, last month. They have also said there is a "strong connection" between that killing and the murder of Nathan Leon, a pizza delivery driver who was found dead in suburban Golden, Colorado.

This is a big oopsie ... but you Right Wing Nuts need to go easy on the bureaucrats who did it cause they are all overworked and underpaid!
Those “clerical errors” occur when the criminal’s dad is friends with the governor. This stinks to high heaven.
Let’s face it, government is rotten to the core, top to bottom.
When they catch him they should make him serve those four years before they let him out to kill somebody else!!!!!
Lets see, the shooters Dad is friends with the Governor and suddenly this guy is accidentally released 4 years early?
Oh yeah...
Colorado’s gun grabber governator should be glad that he was not targeted by this killer lib.
Ya think?
I've reached a point where I don't believe a single GD word from anyone, at any level of government.
Irony when one government bureaucrat pays the price for the mistakes of another government bureaucrat.
I’m feeling for the pizza driver. What was it, a carjack?
It sounds like the DEMOCRAT Governor might have done a FAVOR for his good friend, the father of the KILLER.
There’s more to this story....the journalists haven’t figured that out yet. You don’t walk out four years early unless you get a pardon or your sentence is reduced.
Ash, and these are the kinds of people and systems we are supposed to trust to run our health care, scan our bodies at airports, keep our firearms information... No thanks.
The Democrat gun grabber Governor did a favor for his pal by letting his kid out early ?
Yep...The same people who want to control every single aspect of our lives...
