Having GOP Senators and Congressmen express support for gay marriage, along with the Democrat politicians who are doing the same, could have an impact on the Supreme Court. If so many politicians share the view that current law should be changed, maybe, just maybe, the Court will leave the issue to the politicians where it belongs.

It will be interesting to watch the parade of politicians fold like cheap lawn chairs. I suspect eventually very few politicians will be on our side on this issue.

Of course. They're nothing but mercenaries, and we seem to have reached the tipping point on this issue. The queers are perceived to have gained enough political ground that republicans feel required to jump on the gay bandwagon. They'll (deservedly) continue to lose elections as a result of their politically stupid attempts to pander to the lowest common denominator.

Speaking of incest, I recall a HS student asking a priest, in class, how Adam and Eve's sons produced children. The answer involved ... Eve.

The answer I have usually heard from Biblical literalists is that they married their sisters (Adam and Eve also had daughters, according to Genesis 5:4).

Hope he enjoys the heat where he is headed. He is going to pay a heavy eternal price for this decision. How much more are these people going to ignore “Thy Shall NOT!!!”

If the GOP ever supports a queer a “marriage” candidate for president, OR takes out the support of REAL MARRIAGE from their official platform, I will never as long as I live vote for another republican.

Ditto. The only advantage in my eyes that republicans have over democrats at this point is a slight moral edge (IOW lip service to traditional marriage and pro-life positions). No reason to bother voting republican in a de facto ideologically one-party system. Of course voter disgust toward republicans is exactly what the Obama party is counting on and working hard to facilitate.

Jesus will not be “evolving.” (Not the smallest part of a letter of the law will pass away..)

The stupid GOP thinks it will take one hot issue off the table by settling the homo marriage issue and thereby take one more issue away from the Rats. This is highly faulty thinking when homosexual marriage is immoral and evil. There really are more things to think about than what the liberals are serving up.

Is that a real quote? If so, Kirk has crossed the line from chronic RINOism to full out double agent.

This is sadly not a shock. He is a tiny little twerp, can’t be more than 5’1”. Weak milquetoast is an understatement.

And yes, I would guess he does bat for the other team.
Sad little man.

they married their sisters

It's a touchy subject, but facts are facts; and the Biblical Garden of Eden story involves incest.

Completely disgusting. I wish I did not know this. What a tragedy. I thought people had morals in the Bible. I went to 13 years of Catholic School and NEVER heard of this depravity. Are you sure?????

I can’t believe it. I don’t believe it actually because Southern Baptists would never ever accept this especially. I have been Catholic my whole life and never heard of anything like this.
