If you punch a punk in Manchester, it could be a hate crime. Police in the English city announced Wednesday that they will begin recording offenses against members of alternative subcultures in the same way they do attacks based on race, religion, disability, sexual orientation or transgender identity.
The Greater Manchester force—the first in Britain to take the step—says “Goths, emos, punks and metallers” and members of other alternative groups often endured abuse. …

Most ‘punks’ - and metalheads - I’ve known over the course of my life can certainly handle their own in a fight. They might not win, but the other guy(s) is gonna get a bloody nose.
Emos.....well, that’s a different story. Personally, I’d think that just raising your voice to an emo would be more than adequate to unleash a river of tears.

I have to say, I’ve seen some pretty hot goth girls, and I give them credit for their clothes, a good deal of which is often handmade. That’s a skill I certainly don’t posses.
I know a goth locally by the name of Dante. As in Dante Alighieri. “Divine Comedy” is one of her favorite works, and she’s read it in the original Italian.
Goths are, quite often, very well-read and highly intelligent. And the metalheads as well; look at Bruce Dickinson - a true polymath.

I have to agree. Goth chicks can be very hot. Same goes for some of the Steam Punk chicks. And both are kinda related.
They love to read and are very creative.
