In response President Obama ordered a ballistic missile defence system be moved to the nearest U.S. military base to the rogue state

North Korea dramatically escalated tensions with America tonight by warning it had approved nuclear strike plans.

"The moment of explosion is approaching fast," the North Korean military said, warning that war could break out "today or tomorrow".

In response, President Obama ordered a ballistic missile defence system be moved to the nearest U.S. military base to the rogue state.

The U.S. defence system will move to Guam, the nearest American military base to North Korea, 2,000 miles south east of Pyongyang in the Pacific Ocean.

U.S. defence secretary, Chuck Hagel, said: “Some of the actions they have taken the last few weeks present a real and clear danger and threat to the interests of our allies starting with South Korea and Japan.

“Also there have been threats the North Koreans have leveled at our base in Guam and Hawaii.”

“Stalin always expected Hitler to attack...he just figured he’d be bogged down in the West, he couldn’t see France falling in six weeks....He knew he couldn’t have the Red Army ready until 1943, so he was just trying to stall for time.”

Completely false. The Red army was offensively postured at the border when the Germans invaded in June 1941. The Germans missed getting attacked themselves by only a couple of months. There are many accounts of German soldiers and commanders being baffled by the soviet troop dispositions with them being offensively postured as the only explanation. If you look at the way the soviet forces were arrayed right before the German attack you would come to the same conclusion.

The guy is lazy and unengaged

Oh, I'm sure he's "engaged". At this very moment, he's probably debating how many billions in "humanitarian" aide to send them, and discussing his chances for another Nobel Peace Prize for averting a nuclear war. Heck, he may even borrow from the Bill Clinton playbook and give them more nuclear reactors to shut them up for a while.

One thing historians consider very reliable about Stalin is that he would accuse others of doing things he did or was planning to do. There are events that historians pin on Stalin with no other evidence than the fact that he accused someone else of doing it.

One thing he accused FDR of doing was waiting out the war so that by the time Europe was exhausted, he could swoop in and conquer the winner easily and take over Europe.

Stalin was caught completely off guard, for two weeks immediately after the attack he was cowered in his room alone, until he was talked out of it, and finally re-assumed leadership.

“We had just such a plan in the 60’s and 70’s if the USSR invaded Western Europe and we were getting the worst of it.”

Which we would have. We were told several times before we departed NSA (in the late 60s) for Europe: when the Russians crossed through Fulda Gap in Germany - they were 72 hours from the English Channel - even after the use of theater nukes ...

I have ordered our unbeatable nuclear forces to completely destroy and kill everybody in Washington, D.C., New York City... and both San Francisco and Los Angeles, California!

Psst! Oh Greatest of All Leaders, forgive me, but if we do as you say... we will destroy the majority of our American Allies.

You know, you cannot... make this stuff up--

Rodman did not let him win in a one-on-one. Well, he tried, but he is not a professional diplomat...

obama wants them to strike. If they don’t he wants an excuse to attack them. Either action would giv him high approval numbers and probably put him in office for life.
