Terry McAuliffe on business ventures: ‘Some work, some don’t’

RIDING HIGH: Terry McAuliffe once touted his "MyCar" electric vehicle, but this and other images have been stripped from his company's website.

IN HAPPIER DAYS: Terry McAuliffe touted
his “MyCar” electric vehicle last year. But
this and other images have been stripped
from his GreenTech Automotive website.

FREDERICKSBURG – Democratic gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe says he’s “proud” of his entrepreneurial background, but acknowledged this week that “some businesses work, some don’t.”

McAuliffe’s statement came in the wake of more questions about his GreenTech Automotive venture in Mississippi. Asked by a Washington Examiner reporter about the project, which has failed to live up to its billing as a job generator, McAuliffe said this on camera:

“I’ve been involved with business my whole life. You learn from experience.”

Launching GreenTech three years ago, McAuliffe sounded more bullish back then, declaring: “We’re in to make money, no question about it. In all the businesses — I’m happy to say I’ve started 25 — they’ve all made money.”

GOP gubernatorial candidate Ken Cuccinelli’s press secretary, Anna Nix, said Virginians deserve more specifics from McAuliffe about his controversial electric-car company that was the subject of Watchdog.org investigative reports on Monday and Wednesday.

“If Mr. McAuliffe is so proud of his business acumen, why all of a sudden is he dodging questions about his very latest business endeavor?” Nix asked.

Neither McAuliffe nor his visa-investment business partner, Anthony Rodham, Hillary Clinton’s youngest brother, have responded to Watchdog’s repeated requests for interviews.

This fella is a LIB dork. He couldn’t run a successful business...that’s why he’s drawn to politics. What a mental midget.

Ole Terry was in charge when the Republican landslide in 96 took place.

Still remember the photoshop pictures of him with a black eye and missing teeth... :)

It’s a golf cart with a windshield. There are many companies in the country that build those already.

Unless you are a central banker, in which case, all business ventures succeed. Whether they do or they don’t.

It’s a golf cart with a windshield

Exactly, with a base sticker price of $15,500 and a top speed of 25mph.

And if they work, Terry’s party calls their owners greedy rich who would rather see children and the elderly die rather than pay their “fair share” of taxes. If they don’t work, Terry’s party says that their owners are deliberately putting people out of work to lower costs or avoid regulations.

Looks like McAuliffe started his green car company to get govt. contracts and tax breaks.

This NY native chose to put his car manufacturing plant in Miss. then run for Governor of VA......

Terry, stay in NY...we want a VIRGINIAN like Ken Cuccinelli to be our next governor!!
