Police are using SWAT teams for all kinds of search warrants now, especially if the warrant is gun-related. The friendly cop strolling the block is not the same as these paramilitary forces.
I’m sorry, but anybody who comes through my front door wearing a uniform and helmet, body armor and combat boots and carrying a full rock-n-roll automatic, that’s a soldier. And if he draws a paycheck from ANY government agency, from local to federal, then that government soldier is a REDCOAT. We didn’t like them before and we’re going to like them a lot less today.

Forty three years ago Americans were worried the government was trying to build a FEDERAL POLICE FORCE, when they were’nt worrying about a Presidential Executive order giving the President dictatorial powers to ship them all off to other areas of the US.

To me the militarization of civilian law enforcement and federal bureaucracies is a typical federal government scheme - the type they cook up to bypass the law and/or the Constitution.
In this case they train and equip civilians to function as military, effectively bypassing the Posse Comitatus Act.
That is exactly what they did at the Branch Davidian massacre when the FBI and BATF attacked civilians using Army tanks and Army advisors.
They killed 82 American men, women and children without due process.
Most were burned to death by federal employees.
What we learned at Ruby Ridge and the Waco Siege is that the federal government will use any means at all to force their will upon us - the US Constitution is of no consideration to them.
The Homeland Security quasi-military force is now larger, better equipped, trained and armed than the military of most countries. They didn’t reach that stage to prepare for an invasion by Quebec - those arms are intended for use against US citizens.
It is, indeed, getting very bad.
And with four more years of America’s Marxist dictator to anticipate, no doubt it will get much, much worse.
Never in my sixty-plus years of life have I been so worried for American freedoms and the very survival of those American virtues of self-government and independence of spirit which were once the hallmark of the nation.
It is a dark time, indeed.
