GPD: Downtown teen rampage; man assaulted, restaurant vandalized (SC)

GREENVILLE, S.C. —Greenville police are investigating vandalism at a restaurant, an attempted robbery and an assault all in downtown Greenville. They believe teens from the same group are responsible for all three incidents.

The general manager of Grill Marks told WYFF, a group of teens walked into the restaurant around 9:30 Wednesday night, spent a few minutes inside and then proceeded to the outdoor seating area where they squirted ketchup all over the tables, walls, and floors. They also smashed salt shakers on the street. Surveillance video captured the teens in the restaurant.

"It's just a pain because we had to go out there, clean all the tables, all the walls front and back, scrub everything on the patio last night so it kept everyone here later, so it was annoying," said general manager Kyle Marsh.

In the same time frame, police said there was an attempted robbery of a 24-year-old man on S. Main Street near Carolina Ale House and an assault and battery of an 18-year-old at Falls Park.

Police said these incidents also involved teens.

Officers said they were able to detain the persons responsible for the assault and battery at Falls Park.

Police said they believe all the teens were together at some point and possibly dispersed to commit these different crimes.

Holder's people.

Downtown Greenville is a great place. A river and beautiful waterfalls, great restaurants and entertainment. I love taking visitors from out of town down there. They are always impressed. But these feral youths are ruining it. We have a weekend curfew because of them that has been in effect for some time now, but this was a week night. I fear these types of actions will get worse. Don't know what the answer is but I feel like it probably involves a firearm.

“Amish again?”

Makes one wonder, eh?

After all, the MSM is often painfully transparent in identifying perp characteristics by NOT identifying perp characteristics.

Journalists are sooooo simple.

Golly, the cameras were so bad that they couldn’t tell what race these perps were . . . and who’d believe the lying eyes of the witnesses that they were “black” perps?

This is disgusting that we have to live through this contempt for law and order just because we have that illegal alien and his hefty wife living in our White House.

I’ve been there several times. Greenville prides itself on its downtown. I’m surprised they allowed this to be printed. Gville can’t afford to scare people away from downtown.

I love going downtown but not sure I’ll be going back any time soon. It is beautiful, especially in the spring. Beautiful gardens. It makes me sick.

If I lived in a city like Gville, I would have a CCW. Even here, I carry a knife but I think it’s the law.

If they did this where I live, the people with CCW’s would form a line to shoot them.

Har! Yep it’s those darned Amish again! If they do this often enough justice may be served. I know several people in that area who carry concealed. Too bad they didn’t get caught and made to go back and clean up the restaurant with tooth brushes though!

It isn’t their color that makes them “Obama people” it’s their mind and spirit.

While this stinks and needs to be stamped out, it looks to be about two orders of magnitude less obnoxious than what has recently been going on in Chicago.

Absolutely, but it seems things are getting worse. At what point do citizens just have to take the law into their own hands?

Terrible. I'm hoping to move my family to that part of SC soon, and I really like the downtown Greenville area.

As a CCW holder in Indiana I wonder what I would do if I were a patron of that restaurant and was confronted with that situation.

Yes. A concealed weapon hidden under clothing. A decent caliber and extra magazines. When one of these goons gets killed trying to hurt others, the others will think twice.

If the Amish wear hoods, then those are definitely Amish.

Greenville has come a long way. I vaguely remember that area as kid in the 70s and thought it was a dreary place. Downtown is very nice.
