Legalization vs. Enforcement [Attention: Marco Rubio]
Center For Immigration Studies ^ | April 2013 | Steven A. Camarota

When given a choice, 82% of Republicans said they support reducing the illegal immigrant population by requiring employers to check workers legal status, fortifying the border, and getting the cooperation of local police. Just 12% said they support giving illegal immigrants legal status if they pay a fine, study English, and undergo a background check.

The dems saw him coming down the road from ten miles away.

“Geeze, how can we get this guy off star Conservative Tea Party status?”

“Easy. Attach his name to Amnesty. He’ll go for it. Just look at him”.

Study English? Or speak English? That’s two different things. Maybe not to most people easily swayed by bs.

I shudder every time I head the term “Immigration Reform” (comprehensive or otherwise).

The idiots like Rubio don’t seem to understand: MOST ILLEGALS DON’T WANT TO BE CITIZENS. Once they get to be legally within our borders THEY ARE DONE. No English tests, no fines, no nothing. They have their MICA or Green Card and THAT IS IT.

And we already know that the democrats will ensure they vote irrespective of citizenship status so that won’t affect their agenda.

What many folks failed to realize that Marco Rubio has ALWAYS supported Illegal Alien Amnesty....he killed many potential AZ type of laws for Florida when he was the Speaker of the Florida House...

But too many listen to the likes of Sean Hannity and other PhonyCons who kept pushing the “Rubio is Conservative” myth

Illegal Alien Amnesty is Anti-American Bigotry.... and Marco Rubio is an Anti-American Bigot

Well, that’s why the immigration reform plans being cooked up in Washington will pay them TRILLIONS of dollars to become citizens.

What did these people do to deserve the reward of US citizenship? Nothing. They don’t deserve the reward of US citizenship. They didn’t apply for citizenship. They entered the US illegally, meaning they entered contrary to the law, which means they entered the wrong way, they did something bad, they did something illegal. And now Congress and Resident Obama are going to reward their wrong, bad, illegal, bad behavior with the prize of US citizenship. Boo! And Boohoo! Give them residency, so they can be accounted for and also for if they decide they want to return to their homeland they can return as lawful citizens of that homeland. Say it like Obama’s “If you got a business, you didn’t build that.” speech, say “If you entered illegally, you don’t deserve US citizenship. Somebody else entered legally and may deserve US citizenship!”

“Give them residency”

Once that happens, it’s all over for Republicans.

Discrimination lawsuits will be filed within hours.

Democrat federal judges will never allow 11 million Hispanics to be second class “residents.”

The 2014 election will be about Republican “Jim Crow Laws” and Republican racism.

The 11 million will be voting citizens before 2016, Texas will vote Democrat, and the White House, Congress, and the Supreme Court will be Democrat for generations to come.

The Center for Immigration Studies has several blog posts concerning Rubio’s chief of staff.

I can't recall his name.

Apparently he's given at least two speeches openly supporting Amnesty and a path to citizenship.

That's a great question, Gene.

In 2006, Free Republic was Ground Zero for passionate opposition to the Bush-McCain Amnesty.

In 2013, almost no one cares.

Exhaustion? Demoralization? Indifference?

I don't have an answer.

I do know that if Amnesty passes, American Conservatives will lose what little political power we have left.

Yes. The “purists” that stood down on 2012 have a cross to bear. God love ‘em... can’t wait for the prophetic yield!
