It’s Friday afternoon; the sun is over the yardarm somewhere - so that you may properly enjoy this next bit from Jake Tapper. He’s reporting on the strange inability of Barack Obama and Mike Bloomberg to publicly understand the difference between an automatic and a semi-automatic weapon:

That's outrageous enough, but do they have to be so proud of their ignorance, too? Do they have to uphold ignorance as the new, improved, truly scientific global standard? Doesn't that degree of pretentiousness embarrass them?
I noticed President You Didn't Build That said "semi-automatic," then stopped, backed up, and deliberately told the "fully automatic" lie as though it were a small factual correction. People who can't even tell halfway convincing lies should go back to Chicago and amuse themselves entertaining and ruling the dumbest of the dumb, big city Democratic [sic] party loyalists.
They both know the difference. They are trying to confuse the “low information voter” that doesn’t really care any way.

Jake, someday you’ll recognize that they don’t lie out of ignorance.
They lie because the content of the lie makes their argument more emotionally compelling to their target audience.
