A senior U.S. defense official says the Pentagon has delayed an intercontinental ballistic missile test for next week at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California amid mounting tensions with North Korea.
The official says Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel delayed the long-planned Minuteman 3 test because of concerns the launch could be misinterpreted and exacerbate the current Korean crisis.
The official was not authorized to speak publicly and requested anonymity.
North Korea's military has warned that it was authorized to attack the U.S. using "smaller, lighter and diversified" nuclear weapons.

The terms "surrender", "capitulate", and "lose" somehow come to mind.
And, sadly so.

Nah. Test shots run about $1 million apiece. HOWEVER, we could do a test shot with 3 warheads. Just to make sure it all works.

Maybe the Pentagon should have a fabulous “gay pride” parade instead. They could show Baby Kim that America doesn’t mean him any harm. We’re just here for a good time.

Send Chuckie (shoomer) Hagel back to whereever he came from and then abort them both. Yes Hagel is from Nebraska. So was Bob ‘Peg Leg’ Kerrey. And a few other nondiscripts who sold Nebraska and this country down the river (in Chuckie’s case, it had to be down the Platte to the Missouri, to the Mississippi, to the Gulf, where everything is wrong since O’Bambi conspired to f’up the Gulf with the BP Spill. (Yes, how soon we forget).
I lived in Nebraska from ‘81 to ‘93, and never had the priviledge of voting against the sorry SOB. I did have the priviledge of voting against that miscreant with the Peg Leg.

Deduct the money we’re giving to the ‘peace loving’ religion of peace’ Arab Spring.
That or make them targets.
Or both.

No, we should convince Obama “Kim Jung-un” (or any of our other enemies) is a secret Republican instead.

ICBM test??? The 1982 movie ‘The Day After’ ??
What are we testing them for now anyway?
How about testing weapons that shoot down others missiles in the sky?

I very seriously recommend that as soon as the Norks light up a missile, we immediately respond in kind to take out said missile, before it fly’s anywhere near Japan, whatever.
Then, let our major wussies in state, Hagel, president Putz, just let the Norks know “we didn’t know where it was targeted after all your bullshit, so we just took it out! Any problems fatso Kim?
When would you like to fire off the next one fatso? We’ll be ready and waiting!
But, we are too wussie to even contemplate slapping down this arrogant prick. Oh, sorry, I mean Kim not B-Hussain-O mm,mm,mm!

"ICBM test??? The 1982 movie The Day After ??"
The scenario presented in that movie has terribly exaggerated and erroneous in a number of ways. Do some searching and have a look at the various nuclear weapons tests in our own country and around the world. Mankind will not build enough weapons to destroy all human life on the planet. We're restrained by quite a few physical and historical social realities.
Media presentations mentioning the Cold War attempt to lull us into believing that the past was more dangerous than today with respect to nuclear weapons and nations that have them. That's not the case, either. Numbers of nuclear weapons around the world and our chances of seeing nuclear exchanges are greater than ever before and increasing rapidly. Many nations have them, and some have many more ICBMs than most people know (public news missed or ignored by most).

The scenario presented in that movie has terribly exaggerated...The chief thing I learned from that TV movie was that if a nuclear war starts, bad acting will break out all over.

I just remembered that movie the other day and how I got a kick out of it at the time when I was in college, and the lib argument at the time that Reagan creation of missile defenses would be seen as a aggressive attack on the USSR.
And my point here is that a missile launch from the NK over the ocean might make a great test case for the US, almost free too,
