Can’t happen here no way no how period.
Agreed. Too big to fail! </sarc>
“When we hear the mainstream media assuring us in soothing, condescending tones that were in an economic recovery despite all evidence to the contrary we want desperately to believe them.”
Eaxctly the same thing happened during the Great Depression. (From “The Great Crash 1929” by John Kenneth Galbraith, copyright 1954)
The mainstream media kept assuring Americans that “the bottom is here, no way to go but up” and “recovery is here”. This continued for years as the Depression deepened.
I’ll just put all my money if the credit union that will fix them!

The bigger they are, the harder they fall.
The mainstream media would never lie to us!
And the Democrats kept playing “Happy days are here again” while all the socialist crap was being implemented.
I just learned the other day, cotton balls saturated in petroleum jelly make a good tinder for fire-starting. I store mine in a small (empty) jar of chest rub.
For when we’re sitting around eating beef jerky soaking in Top Ramen and thanking the Inner Parties for our new, wonderful lives.
That stuff’s better hot. No charge.
A lot of preppers use dryer lint and candle wax
50% of the public believes that it can’t happen here simply because it hasn’t happened YET.
We actually surrounded by retards every day.

The ignorance and complacency of most Americans is beyond scary.
They’re going to get a rude education.
That’s what we did as Boy Scouts. Fill up paper egg cartons w/ lint and then pour wax. Easy to divide and one was sufficient for a fire.
This is excellent.
I read an article the other day that seemed to indicate were looking at anther massive crash due to the fact that current market explosion is an artificial product of the Federal reserves inflationary policy. In other-words investors are in the unenviable position of either investing money in the market and hoping for a return or watching it melt away due to devaluation.
While there are many good economic prospects in theses united States the fact remains we are in an international market with an enormous disadvantage in the cost of labor, taxes, and regulations.
you mean while they implemented all this socialist crap.
...and egg cartons! We used that in Girl Scouts to make fire starters. ; )
During the Depression while FDR was implementing all his programs, “Happy days are here again” was a popular, feel good, tune.
I remember a time on FR when newbies such as you, posting bs... would have been drummed out by viking kitties here on FR.
